What has Shearer done to deserve a knighthood besides relegate Newcastle?
OP
Sir Bobby Charlton, Sir Matt Busby and Sir Alex Ferguson contributed far more to football, and life in general, than that Geordie trio you mentioned.

Or any Geordie ever, and the entire city of Newcastle
Charlton = World Cup winner, European cup winner and world footballer of the year.
Busby = Rebuilt a team and club demolished by the Munich disaster into the best team in the world and inspired millions with his outright refusal to give in and his will to succeed.
Ferguson = Almost universally regarded as the greatest football manager of all time, one of the most decorate men in the history of the game and had a sustained period of success that is unmatched by any other on football.
Those are reasons why the 3 you have mentioned have received knighthoods, and frankly it's ludicrous to suggest that any player you've mentioned is close to matching the achievements the Unite 3 have.
But then, you aren't really, are you? It's just a poor wum.

Don't forget Ant and Dec....and the Hairy Bikers
That's got to be the worst reason ever for hating United
Maybe we should knight Gerrard, Beckham, Terry, Rooney, Ashley Cole, Joe Hart, Jack Wilshere, Fabien Delph, Steven Taylor, Ryan Giggs, Ryan Shawcross, Andy Cole and any other player we can think of, eh OP?
I agree on Giggs, Beckham, Rooney and Andy Cole
I get it OP, it's Manchester United's choice in who gets knighted in this country??????
How the fúck have Steve Bull, Matt Le Tissier and Howard Kendal not been knighted?
Sir Gaz off Geordie Shore
How many Geordies have been knighted ever? Not many I assume. My Nan was a Geordie and she should have been made a Dame, but sadly she died before the honour was bestowed on her. Other than that I can't think of any.

Don't understand this mentality. "Tehe, I'll go online and make a fcuknut out of myself by saying something stupid, and then revel in being called a fcuknut by people responding, as though it's some kind of victory for me".
How does that person win exactly? They're just a fcuknut with nothing better to do, and if they revel in the attention wumming brings them, then they must be a very sorry person with an empty life. Don't get it.
Thou shalt have a fishy on a little dishy...
In these days of wall-to-wall football on TV and European trophy-hunting, it is hard to appreciate how big a game the Wembley final amounted to. And if you know your footie history, you would know that Jackie Milburn (along with Stanley Matthews) were Wembley kings and major crowd pullers. They were to British football what Messi and Ronaldo are to world football today. As for Shearer, well he is the premiere leagues all time leading goalscorer yet some rate the likes of Henry, RVN, and Berkgamp much higher than him. Funny how we're quick to worship foreigners and not our own.

Ok then. Why do you think the reasons you've just given, would be comparable to the ones I stated for the players you listed?
Jackie Milburns undoubtedly one of the game's greats, he's just of limited interest to most football fans today if they're not Newcastle United fans. You had a scottish guy called Tony Green people that know the game rave about - I guarantee nobody on JA606 has ever heard of him outside the posters from the North East. The knighthood argument was just a bit daft wasn't it?

There was a thread the other day about Shearer, think everyone was complimentary about his goalscoring prowess. Problem for Shearer is that every time he opens his mouth on the MOTD sofa it eats away from the kudos he achieved on the pitch.
