"but the numbers come from the brainwashed and ill informed."
Again, who says the Quran and Bible weren't supposed to be interpret they way the extremists do?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Both were created to explain what people couldn't explain at the time. No one will ever truly be able to answer if there were ulterior motives to their creation, but both have saved and taken many lives in their time. Arguments are made from the point of view of control, of well-wishing, of peaceful prosperity and of conquering empire. There is no sense in debating the "why" now, only in trying to use the faiths as tools for the human races prosperity.
You can cook a meal for someone with a pan, or you can kill them with it too. The pan isn't evil, or good. It's just a man made tool.

But the Quran and Bible to have evil within them. Like I said, it's all about how you interpret them, but the terrorist groups are wrong when they refer to the Quran, are they?
As I said, these books were written centuries ago, it's ridiculous that half of the worlds population refer to these texts to live their lives.

"It is well worth reading about by anyone who is interested what happened in Afghanistan in the 1960's, bearing in mind Afghanistan is a country who's women had the vote only a year after the UK and before the women of the USA did. Look up photos of Afghani women from the 60's and be stunned."
Indeed, wtf happened then? They look, almost, normal.

Basically, economic collapse as a fall out from involvement with Russia. It'd be better to take a read though yourself, would be much easier to get your head round in honesty. Like anything, my explanation would be littered with my own views, much better you make yours from the facts.

To be on the safe side though, your claim that the area "will never be civilised" conveniently ignores that fact that is has been "civilised" (whatever that means) in the past. In fact, large parts of the Middle East were civilised long before other areas of the globe.
They've experienced somewhat of a regression due to religious fundamentalism but to claim that it will never be civilised is to completely ignore the history of the region. Lebanon, Afghanistan, Iraq, Eqypt. Look into the history of these countries in terms of democracy, politics, technological innovation. You may be surprised.
I also find it hard to believe that anyone would advocate blanket nuclear bombing of a region, killing millions of innocent people in the process, due to the actions of what are (for the most part) clandestine organisations which are opposed by the governments and peoples of the region.

I'm not convinced they do have evil in them personally. I think it's more like a rorschach test. You see what you want to in them, and take what you want to out of them.
I can look at the pan and see a tool to feed or a murder weapon. Neither way am I wrong in what I see. The good and evil comes from me. It's why we can't say what the intended use for any of the worlds holy books or scripts is. Someone could have made that pan intending for it to be used to kill, who really knows? The point is just because it seems one way, doesn't mean anything. The books are just books and the pan is just a pan.
