Can't believe none picked Cech... Schmeichel got 3 votes and Seaman got one... Seriously they couldn't have picked more biased pundits, Bergkgamp over Shearer?

In regards to Shearer and his goals, I have read somewhere that although he's 73 ahead of Cole who's 2nd, Cole only ever scored 1 penalty compared to Shearer's 53 or so....

I'd have lampard over gerrard if I had to pick one of them. Surprised loads went for gerrard. He shouldn't make the team.

I can see why people would pick shearer over bergkamp. Bergkamp obviously more talented, but shearer is the all time top scorer.

Trying my best to not let bias or nostalgia cloud my judgement...

-------------------Van der Sar

Ivanovic ---- Terry ---- Ferdinand ---- Cole

Beckham --- Keane --- Scholes--------------
-------------------Lampard--------------------
---------------------------------------Ronaldo
---------------------Henry---------------------

Tough decision leaving out the likes of Gerrard, Vidic, Vieira, Suarez, Drogba, Shearer etc.

Gary Neville wasn't that great, Ivanovic is by far a better player, They all like to pretend he's the best RB the PL has ever seen, No chance, May aswell put Ferreria in there, Who I actually do rate higher

Even as a Liverpool fan I'm surprised more people haven't included Scholes. Wonderful footballer.

I wouldn't even say Ivanovic is the best RB now. Personally I'd side with Zabaleta, I really like him as a player.

I'd say Zabaleta is better than Ivanovic personally.

Zaba > Ivan. Not that close either, imo

Ivanovic isn't that great, prefer him at CB tbh. Neville was much better, even Ferreira was more solid

Goalkeeper.
Schmeichel - Comfortably the best goalkeeper of the PL era. Nearest rival's are Cech, VDS and at a push Seaman, all of whim are clearly beneath the Great Dane. No slight on them for that though.

Defence.
Not many great right backs of the PL era, but for an all round right back you can't look past Gary Neville. As good as any other in his position, the ultimate professional and a thoroughbred winner. Nearest rivals would be Lauren. Maybe Ivanovic, but he's not good enough going forward.

Center backs have to be Rio and Campbell. Best two for me, and compliment each other perfectly. Terry, Vidic, Hyypia, Stam, Adams and a handful of others all in with a shout. The two above would get in my team though.

Left back.
Ashley Cole, Patrice Evra or Dennis Irwin. Take your pick. Evra the best attacker. Cole the best defender. Irwin the most balanced, toughest and most consistantly top notch.

Midfield.
Scholes - best footballer. Keane - perfect box to box player. Vieira - world class all round central player and a great defensive mind as well as a powerhouse going forward as well. Notable exceptions would be Carrick, Gerrard and Lampard, who were/are all great players and maybe Fabregas also. Couple of other to my mind as well.

Attack.
Cristiano Ronaldo. Obviously. Then probably Alan Shearer for his goals record, though Cantona, Bergkamp, Owen, van Nistlerooy, Drogba and Rooney come close. Finally, Henry or Suarez. If go for Henry because he was here longer and won the league a couple of times with Arsenal.

Schmeichel
G.Nev Ferdinand Campbell Irwin
Scholes Vieira Keane
Ronaldo Shearer Henry

Beats your team.

Forgot Zabaleta. He's in with a shout at right back, but I'd still take Neville or Lauren over him at this point. Might change eventually though.

And then finally, if you want to play with wingers instead of a 3, Beckham and Giggs are the only choices.

Could any of these even give the current Real or Bayern sides or recent Barca sides a match? I think not. So much for the greatest league in the world.

Cech
Lauren Carvalho Terry Cole
Makelele
Vieira Fabregas
Ronaldo Henry Pires
