Good summary

Read yesterday that poch said Eriksen has a free role in our team... What this mean? Can go anywhere, don't have to track back?

posted on 27/12/14

Not if we play like that - you will beat us comfortably.

I think we would play right in to United's hands too - they'd love nothing more then us to try and play the way we did as itd suit their 3412 down to the ground.

That's surprising. If anyone deserves to be given that freedom it's him, but to do that you have to have a solid framework around him. It often looks as if all four front players have a free role to me.

We are Chelsea, therefore never know what is coming next, bud.Spurs are moving in the right direction.

Enjoy the game against us,but not too much.

I'm sure it doesn't mean he doesn't defend or track back though?

You'd assume players around him are told that when he enters their zone off the pitch, they need to look to take up a more central position. If we lose the ball then defensive duties are performed relative to where you are in the pitch.

I think I recall Schneiderlin talking about similar to be honest?

Chelsea will beat us easily, comfortable the best team in the prem.

United we could win if we play the right team with a high pressing game.

It can be frustrating when fans don't credit the team even though yet again, the team under cosh playing with every guts and blood and thunder, comes away with a win and the magic beans 3pts!

I'd rather they play the way they were doing and keep the current run going

Have you watched Arsenal or LFC yesterday?

Do you think they looked works beaters and deserved to win?

We need support the team. Its got a new manager relatively and under the situation, the team is winning and getting the points.
I am not slagging anyone but it would be nice to be happy with just points sometimes

You've written us off already?

You may be right, but I think it won't be as easy as some of the losses we've experienced at whl

The team has no European distractions so Pocho has not tinkered with it and almost the same unit has been on a very good recent run!

Why would I care about Liverpool or Arsenal's performances?

Just saying we are not the only team that won lucky yesterday?

You know what I meant!

Good posts mate, and I like your optimism. When I watched the game live, I thought Spurs were not that good yesterday, but looking at the full game again last night on Sky Game of the Day, I thought Leicester were very good, and Spurs did actually put in a bit of effort, so was very pleased with the 3 points.

Unfortunately on this site, far too many negative supporters, not sure what they want really. Spurs are currently two points of top four, through to the semis of league cup, through to group stages of Europa, and with the FA Cup to come next Saturday. I really am finding it quite difficult not to feel positive.

I'm getting a bit bored of articles like this.

Who do our fans think we are? A team that can go to any team outside the top 6 and roll them over? Have a look at United, Arsenal and Liverpool's records at the grounds where we have got three points. We are battling hard to win these points.

We are playing some good stuff in patches, and so are the opposition. Had Leicester gone 2-1 up yesterday we would have started to dominate as they sat back, it's the nature of football.

IMO, Poch has instilled battling qualities into an average squad and has done as well as could be expected with the mess he inherited.

The bottom line is we are a work in progress. We all knew this was going to be a season of transition with a new coach at the helm.

We are far from the finished project. In patches we do look very good its just getting the consistency throughout the game.

Our squad is very good in some positions and very average in others.

In my opinion next months transfer window is absolutely critical as to how we finish the season.

Im not saying we need wholesale changes because this could be counter productive but if we can sign just one or two top players i genuinely think we can finsh top five and win a cup.

Were getting there... slowly, i believe in Pochettinno and we have some extremely talented youngsters coming through.

Well he wouldn't, because as soon as the men were supposed to go over the top you'd just be sat there going on about how soldiers were much more sturdy in the Crimean war

Sorry Ssndy

Agreed we are battling hard, which is great as we are picking up points, but it is one thing going away, scoring first and soaking up the pressure and hitting teams on the break, but quite another to look so shoddy as a team and frankly ride your luck as we have done, and gift the other side opportunities.

One is sustainable, the other isn't.
