According to @DiMarzio, Inter will pay €600k to loan Podolski. No option to buy included. #Arsenal
If true it is just so senseless.

who knows, maybe all his hashtags are taking up too much storage space on the arsenal website. money don't grow on trees you know

its 100K a week we can straight away offer to someone
----------------------------------------------------------------------
That would make sense if we were actually going to use it to pay for a replacement players wages, but we all know that ain't happening.
If Spurs can afford to have Ade in their squad and he aint getting any playing time this season, why cant we keep hold of Poldi?!?!
also podolski is a lot more desirable than an aging rosicky

I dont see tottenham buying players like alexis either
It's fine guys. We have Walcott, Akpom, Welbeck, Giroud, Campbell and Sanchez who can play up front. We don't need another striker, we are sorted

if he impresses them then they will bid for him, if not then he wont, an option to buy makes no different, why limit ourselfes?
Pretty sure Spurs are trying to offload Adebayor.
The reason no option to buy is presumably because Inter offered a small fee. Seems most likely to be the 'joke' Wenger talked about.
Arshavin, Chamakh, Bendtner, Coquelin, Park, Santos all players we've loaned with no option to buy and shock horror we couldn't get rid of them.
Djourou & Denilson we loaned with an option to buy and never saw him again. More often than not clubs activate the option at the end of the season.
no he said their 1st offer was a joke, so they came in with a 2nds

My apologies I had only heard part of the interview.
they were players who had terrible loan spells, that was why we couldnt get rid
Whats the length of Pod's contract. Just wondering how long Pod will be backpacking around Europe like Bendtner.

Not sure what you are saying here, Bats?
Clubs will buy the player if there is a clause no matter how shít he did just because they have an option?
And if there isn't a clause they won't bother trying to buy no matter what?
No just it is more likely they will. I think clubs put the option to buy in because they intend to buy the player. Inter more than likely can't afford him which is why there is no option. We are wasting our time dealing with them.
if he impresses them they will buy him
They can't afford him. Italian clubs are skint. They can only spend transfer fees on relatively young players ie Mertens, Balo, Gervinho, Callejon because they can make money back on them. Podolski has no resale value, no way would Inter spend £5M or something like that + £70K/week + on a player long past his peak.
if he impresses them and enjoys it he'll take the wage cut, if not a german team will have him
We'll see what happens, my guess is he will be looking for a new club in May. We'll loan him out for the final year of his contract and get no transfer fee for him.
Podolski is never going to take wage cut or he would have left a season after he joined us.
after his 1st season when he had over 40 apps? why would he have taken a wage cut?
Well the rumours are that he has taken a significant wage cut to go to them.

Because he was being subbed early in games even then. At that time it was all about dodgy hamstrings in those days.
