You may well be right Wolfgang but it’s the twitching corpse of something I have loved for years so rather than poke it with my toe and walk away I’m going to hold onto the hope that it might one day regain it’s vitality.

I’m not arguing with you about how important it is to boards or even managers or players these days – there is no doubt it has been massively diminished over the last 20 years - but that doesn’t detract from my feelings for the cup.

i've often wondered if a west midlands cup, or even a midlands cup.would work
wolves,albion,villa, blues, walsall and shrewsbury, coventry and cheltenham in two groups of four would give the little clubs the chance of playing us when not in the same division - a real thrill for cheltenham, albion and villa

The Birmingham Senior Cup is still in existence but gets treated as a reserve or youth team competition by all the league sides involved.

yep no point resting him so he's fresh for someone else.

I think he might rest Dicko as we have so little back up but personally I’d play him.

Just watched a programme on SA tv about the FA Cup over the years and it brought back so many memories;

Arsenal getting beaten by Wrexham.
The Liverpool vs Everton final just after the Hillsborough disaster.
Alan Sunderland getting the winner for Arsenal against Man U.
Coventry in 1987
The "Gascoigne" final.
Etc.....

Still the best cup comp in the World for me and we should still be taking it seriously.
