Great manager. Biggest overachieving manager in Europe.
Would love to see him at Arsenal, if only for us to finally beat Mourinho.
He'll probably replace Mourinho at Chelsea.
Finally beat mourinho, and then create multiple articles on how wenger schooled Jose
Wouldn't be surprised if he replaced mourinho
He's a better version of Mourinho, at least the way he celebrates goals and stuff.
Truly unlucky to lose the CL final last season, had he won it it would surely be as good as the Barca treble winning team if you put things in perspective.
Tactically he's got the better of Mourinho and Carlo time and time again
Great stuff, usually the dogged defending style is used by weak teams to secure a 12th place finish, but to employ it to win La Liga and get to a CL final - when faced with domestic and European teams spending 20 x what they have done - is incredible.
He's only beaten Mourinho twice. In the CL and Copa final. Lost all their league games.
Has a better record against Ancelotti.
Also, after winning 22 (?) in a row, it means Real have last their last two.
Trying to get Sameone to stick aren't you?

-------
Atleti spent about £100m in the summer, to be fair.

Was it really that much? I guess a lot was funded by sales (Costa, Luis), and they seem to have been sellers rather than buyers over the last few years (Torres, Aguero, De Gea etc).
Maybe I am 12 months out of date with my assessment, though after their success last season I wouldn't begrudge them splashing the cash a bit.

Had forgotten Falcao too.
Yeah think they spent nearly as much as Madrid this summer.
Yeah they've done well to get where they are, but the club has spent a lot of money over the years.
It's the reckless spending that has put them in the shiiit financially. But Simeone has done a brilliant job.
Though I'm not sure his transfers have been all that since he's come in. The best players at the club were already there (like Rodgers ) but he's helped improve a lot of them and the team.
Raul Nolan is such an apt description.

To be very fair - they won the league and runners up in the Champions League last year. They have been losing their best players for years and have been replacing them at a fraction of the cost. They spent some money last season - not sure 100 million is right - maybe a small net amount. But you can't argue they have split the normal duopoly the last 3 seasons and the league is all the better for it. Simeone is a very good coach. He has a system and his players know how top play it. They also play a fair amount of good football.
Not sure if it's exacly £100m, but it's around that. Think it was over 100m Euros. They spent a lot of money. But given their competition and need to replace players it's still impressive that they're competing again this season.
He sure knows how to get the best of his players. He's got some proper donkey's though. Knows how to use workhorses.
I suspect if he was Arsenal manager Jack Wilshere would have a fantastic career under him. As would Flamini, Giroud and Welbeck.
