Yep, here's hoping he gets some minutes under his belt and puts In some fine performances.

Kane has joined Forrest too... i thought they had a transfer ban???
Not sure why Baker started the season still at the club in the first place. Wasn't going to get a chance in the first team and he's too good for U21s.

I read something on this yesterday as well, apparently his wages are being meet by a fan who won a competition.

Is this the start of half a dozen loans and the demise of his career then, a la McEachran?

that is ludicrous!
I have very little faith in our youth policy ever actually producing players who will play for Chelsea mf.
I believe that constant loaning out of players to loads of different clubs gradually reduces their sense of belonging to any one club and slowly erodes their confidence!
Brummie, Kane had to go through the loan system and is reaping the rewards for the patience and hard work.
Loans separate the men from the boys.
Rewarded by getting another loan - yeh great

Bertrand went through the loan system and was as patient and as hard working as any, still spat out by Chelsea
No BK he got a season when he played almost 40 games, he just wasn't very good

He was willing to go on as many loans as it took to break into Spurs team, and is now reaping the rewards.
You don't just get handed a place in one off the best squad's in Europe because you are a teenager, you have to earn it
Kings, the main basic function of the academy is to provide the club with players of a quality to represent the club.
As far as I can see all our academy has done is provide a free pool of talent to represent other clubs the length and breadth of the country!
Of course Brummie but we have to promote the right player's. Look at Connor Clifford for example, after the YC win in 2010 a lot of people not only wanted him fasttracked in the Youth team but to be groomed as JTs successor for captain. AS it turns out he's bang average even at league two level.
Fasttracked in the first team sorry.
Wasn't very good? He was always solid and dependable for us, and with regular games right now has been one of the best LB's in the league this season. That 12/13 season he was showing good progression from him and the management of him after coming back into the squad, and then for 13/14 he made about 3 match day squads in the first half of a season. No wonder he wanted to leave, there is no consistency.
