what I am saying is we now have the player with the capability to defeat any team in world football when he is at the top of his game.
....

Which top team has he defeated so far?

Win the CL

with wenger in charge

Arsenal need all their players fit and I also think a shot at CL semis is likely. Winning is a bit far fetched since you have to have a complete squad as every winner has shown.

As for chelsea they never deserved that CL win. I don't care what people say they were the worst champions in the competitions history.

Dolt. he said "..we now have the player with the capability to defeat any team in world football .."
Note the word "capability". Educate yourself and look it up in the dictionary

Apart from a top class DM, we certainly have the players to win the CL.

Shame we don't have the manager.

Well surely you'd want him to defeat one top team before you claim he has the capability to do so.

I'm really hoping that Sanchez can improve Ozil's game. With Ramsey and Kos back and Walcott fit we could finish strongly.

I wonder if both Ozil and Sanchez are playing well then Walcott, if not on the bench, would be forced through the middle?

Our attack isn't the problem. Sanchez is a World Class player and eventually the rets of the offense will get up to speed with his quality.

My primary concern has and will always remain the fragile nature of our defence. If Wenger doesn't:
1) Sign a top class DM
2) Hand total defensive training to someone else,

I don't see us progressing at all, let alone challenge in Europes elite competition.

No, no you're right. Of course I don't remember arguably the most important match of the biggest accomplishment in my club's historyfecking moron.

Fact is we beat the two best teams in Europe, one of which in their own stadium in the final.

And exactly wtf else did you expect us to do with 10 men at the Nou Camp you complete and utter div? Go at them?

And let's not bring luck into it, considering we could've had 3 CL wins before 2012 if it weren't for fecked up officiating (Liverpool/Barca semis) and terrible luck (Terry landing on his àrse).

Our CL win was the perfect demonstration of an undying will to win, an absolutely magnificent effort from the last 16 right up to Didier's penalty.

Just because it wasn't done playing Wenger's pansy àssed, win-nothing football doesn't mean it wasn't deserved. Obviously you will not acknowledge this as you're clearly a clueless, biased feckwit like your friend 9tlt.

Give it up mate. The world and its dog knew that you got lucky and, playing that way you'd have lost badly 29 times out of 30. You weren't exactly an old Italy side playing Catenaccio. You were an undertalented side desperately holding on and getting lucky. A non-league side knocking out a premiership one in the FA cup.

I don't see why you need to pretend otherwise either.

If there has been a team more unlucky than arsenal in the champions league in the last six years or so then I have yet to see them. In terms of the teams we have drawn, referee decisions and just pure bad luck, it's has been unbelievable.

We consistently perform at a good level in this tournament, far better than in the league. Referees don't let the likes of Stoke assault other players, so the typical way to stop arsenal is gone. If our squad can start playing like we know they can and the injuries let up then anything is possible. We have started to see glimpses of what I thought we would do this season (no coincidence that we are almost injury free now) , so hopefully we will beat city next week and kick-start our season. We always seem to perform well against city, just need things to go our way for once

Wenger couldn't win it with a team literally invincible in the domestic league, he's not going to win it with a team out-fought and outclassed by Southampton 10 days ago.

The only chance we have is drawing against Basel or Porto or someone in the quarters then maybe Juve in the semis if they get there?

Monaco should be straightforward but after that we need massive luck all the way through to and including the final

Spain, Dortmund, Uruguay, England, Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid, Juventus (twice), is that enough?

It's not always about players if the coaching and tactics are right. Look at the Chelsea team that got past Barca at the Nou Camp. They had a back 4 of

Ramires Bosingwa Ivanovic Cashley

and played most of the game with 10 men. And look at the team that beat Bayern on penalties

Cech
Bosingwa Cahill Luiz Cashley
Lampard Mikel Mata
Kalou Drogba Bertrand

Is that team really any better than what we have? No but with the right tactics and discipline they were able to beat Bayern in their own back yard. Something we ourselves have done before with a change of tactics.
