Arsenal paid Falcao money on Sanchez. I doubt they'd let him go for anything less than £100 million as they don't need the money.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
They aren't paying HIM Falcao money however. For the right player, the money is much less of a concern for Manchester United. It's a big advantage we've got over most clubs. Don't like that we're that kind of club at the moment, but you yourself keep saying we're in our own "galactico" era. I'm inclined to agree, though I don't like the fact. Embrace it and move on though. This is exactly what Bayern, Barca, Real, the Milans and co have done a lot of in the past, is cherry picking rival players.

We are in the Galactico era but those teams you mentioned took players from poorer clubs whereas Arsenal are nearly as minted as us. They have no need to sell and their fans would literally shitt a brick if they sold us Sanchez the season after buying him.
I agree he's perfect and I would swap him for Di Maria in a heartbeat but it's not going to happen.

I wouldn't swap Di Maria for him, that to me would be swapping your left arm for your right, which is an apt comparison in this situation. I don't see any reason for us not to try though Rob. What if we make inquiries and he jumps at the chance? He's the right player and we should take a serious look. No harm done if it's a none starter. There are other players.
Also, Arsenal aren't as financially powerful as us. They're stable and a big club without doubt. But we and Madrid are a unique entity in that regard in modern football. Richard Branson is filthy rich. But not Carlos Slim rich.
They're powerful enough not to need to sell players to rivals. Maybe they wouldn't turn down £100 million but we also wouldn't offer that.

He could give them no choice. I stand by the opinion that there's no reason not to look into it. There are alternatives, but he'd be my first choice and that's the player we need the most in my view 100%.
arsenal have no reason to sell
there problem in recent years is that they have been able to get the calibre of players their fans want. The finally did with sanchez, there is no way in hell they will sell to a domestic rival after 1 season.
I would rather we spent our effort on bringing in reus.
barca can't buy, he will be silly to go to madrid and the italians are not as attractive
only real competition we might face is from pep, chelsea, city.
How is falcao in the same bracket as Suarez and bale etc?
Maybe two years ago.. Not anymore

I'm fairly sure he's all but sewn up to Bayern mate. If not, he'd be the second choice.

£50m for Cavani... I hope this is a joke

When Cavani played for Napoli he was fantastic alongside Lavezzi and Hamisk. Since he moved to PSG he's been pants. Similar to Falcao - if he could recover the form he had a couple of years ago he'd be great.

Hell of a gamble for £50m... personally rather not use the cash on either! Muller mentioned his special relationship with LvG recently.. lets get him!
AGAIN with another Falcao thread!!
People really are sheep and see conspiracy everywhere!
He has JUST had a run a run of 5 games straight, and earned us a couple of draws when we should really have been beaten.
I'm not surprised he was dropped at the weekend, his injury and fitness still need to be managed (I think some of you idiots forget that, its not FIFA) but with RvP possibly injured he has a chance of playing more games.
This guy needs playing time to fully recover from his injury and to get used to our league.
He also needs a decent supply which, quite frankly, has been dreadful during his game time.
Muller mentioned his special relationship with LvG recently.. lets get him!
--------------------------------------------------
I'd be very pleased wih Muller although I wouldn't play him through the middle.
Falcao is nowhere near the levels of Suarez, Aguero etc. He used to be but not any more at this moment in time.
Suarez isnt even at the levels of his previous form to be fair.
I really do think we'll be missing a trick in not enquirying about Berahino.
Cavani
I heard from a podcast that a young french striker tearing up the french league, what about him? has anyone seen him play?

could be My_Genius_Ball_Bag, He has scored 8 goals in last 4 games. I also heard he has some scoring record only achieved by Messi, Ronaldo and Aguero before him, cant remember what that record is.
We have 2 senior strikers next season even if we let Falcao go. Rather than buying another alfa striker and compounding our problems, Id rather United buy a talented kid like him
Falcao is slowly but surely getting back to his former prowess.
