Ok I know you lot live in your own little world sometimes but did you even watch the game at the bridge? How did we not deserve to win? And please give me your points and not immature comments.
Also, You were very fortunate to draw the game with City, as it was them in fact who came a whisker away from snatching a win. Dzeko hit the post if you can remember.
Chelsea outplayed us for 90 minutes
We didn't even look like scoring let alone winning the game.
Yep! I knew they'll come out of their shells. DJ still hiding though.
"We didn't even look like scoring let alone winning the game."
"We didn't deserve to lose". Read with understanding. But then again, you are a WOB, so not surprised.

How did Wilshere get his chance that he missed?

I guess u didnt watch the other 75 mins where we dominated the game. we should have had at least 2 before City even scored.
What's quite funny is Wenger basically done everything the WOBs have been moaning about - an actual defensive mid in the DM position, players in their correct positions, pace on both wings instead of CM's being pushed out there.
Also wish people would stop saying "support the team" on JA606 ffs, most of you lot spend the games sitting on the match thread rather than turning up and supporting the team.
Not going to get into the daft argument in relation to the Chelsea game, as whether Arsenal deserved anything from the game is now irrelevant.
Played well yesterday and were solid and compact. Why it took AW so many years to implement a fairly orthodox defensive approach is anyone’s guess, and had he had the foresight to implement similar tactics last season we could have won the league IMO.
Also have to admit Coquelin has been excellent of late and had another solid game yesterday.
Was previously of the opinion that he wasn’t good enough but recent performances suggest that he is.
When you have a manager who can turn an average Coquelin into someone of interest,
========
Coquelin was a very promising teenager. It has taken a long time for him to get the game time he deserved a lot earlier.

Me? I am one of the least abusive towards Wenger posters among the Arsenal contributors on JA. Still regularly get accused of being an 'AKB', ffs.
In regards to the game at Stamford Bridge:
If the game ended as a draw it wouldnt have been undeserved. We werent battered by Chelsea, a moment of magic by Hazard and then a goal on the break when we were chasing the equaliser with a few mins to go.
To be honest Chelsea were better, but i was impressed with our performance, even Jose gave paid us a compliment
Also
"howbeit not the way you want him to."
"howbeit" ?
We've played defensively in big games before and still lost, also we've been open at other times and it worked tactically but we weren't clinical enough to make it count. Psychologically it must have been playing on our minds that we keep losing these games so it was important to stop that run.
Don't get me wrong you played well at the bridge but as a whole I think we were good value for the win. Regarding the City game your right I didn't watch the whole game but City did come a whisker away from winning it I didn't say they dominated. Just disagreeing with the OPs many bias points.
8Bit, now 9Bit always on point.
I know football is a game of ifs and buts but had Aguero finished off that ball by Navas that Koscielny got the toe on you could have well lost that game so it's not like it was a complete performance, You were a tad fortunate, Just a tad
9bit
Can’t recall too many games in the past when we played with two banks of four as we did at times yesterday.
Only criticism would be early in the second half we over committed at times chasing a second goal which I felt was unnecessary.

That's wrong.
There is no doubt about that Chelsea did deserve to win this game. They didnt play us off the park as some suggested. Second have we were all over it but harmless in front of the goal. The truth is we are not far away footballwise from them if we have all players available.

Chelsea deserved the win, we played better in the first half but made two mistakes in the second half which we were punished for, like the best teams do.
We played well other than that and it was a good game.
So we can all agree that Arsenal has turned a corner yes?
I agree, and we have the mighty Alexis Sanchez! Better than re-signing Fabregas so well done Wenger!

This is true, and what Wenger said yesterday about the first goal being important is absolutely right.
It doesn't matter how well you set up or how defensively organised you plan to be, if the opposition score in the first couple of minutes from a dodgy free kick (Liverpool) or a break after you just missed a very good chance (Chelsea) then all those plans go out the window. What our problem has been is our reaction to going behind in those games has been pitiful, with the team losing focus/concentration/discipline/morale/whatever and completely collapsing in a pathetic manner. That is something Wenger still has to address because even if we play just like we did yesterday, things won't always go our way.
We have proven that we can successfully play in a disciplined way when we have to, with away wins against Bayern and Dortmund pretty good examples. It's not quite accurate to ask why Wenger never tried yesterday's approach before.
