Coutinho sells people so easily, the boy breaks ankles, as usual woth hjm just needs to sort out the final shot/pass
Yeah I'd say that's one of his only weaknesses, that his goal scoring stats aren't great but he is some player and can unlock a defense in an instant
if he had a decent conversion rate from around 20 yards out, he would be getting tapped up by real madrid as we speak, get him tied down to a long contract and work on that, and we have a key position potentially sorted for years
Quality player, only thing seperating him from the top players is his goalscoring record, which must improve.
He does lack a yard of pace, but has class in his touch and passing ability. On top form at the min.
Has 18months on his current deal as well i think...need to tie him down for a longer period.
We can't afford to lose a player of his quality, I forget he's only 22 imagine what he is like at 24-25
I think his performances would improve if we had a good striker to top. Someone to make runs, pull defenders out of position and give him and some of the other players more options. Other than goals, he has all the tools. A little more consistency and end product and he could be a mainstay for many more years
The technique that he and Markovic possess is unreal. I would love to see him influence and impose himself on the games in which we struggle a bit more. He can do this by adding more goals, you can see it's possible with some of the ones he gets, just needs to replicate it more often.

His natural ability is frightening. I love watching him play, his touch and control of the ball is amazing.
We cannot allow he to leave as a few over the years have done by winding down their contracts.
He's way way way more better when we're playing at a high tempo and there's movement in front of him. Anything other than that and he's pretty useless...like in the first half of the season.
Although i think with age he'll learn when to keep it simple more and not force the play.

He carries the ball so well, as someone said above he glides.
He should spend an hr a day after training from now till June with Stevie practicing shooting technique.

spot on you could see how much he struggled without decent movement.
He is getting better and better. He is able to ride the physical stuff and is a constant menace.
Hi shooting still needs a lot of work.
He reminds me very much of Mata.
When he is on song absolutely brilliant, when not on song you don't know he is there.
You're all putting your hopes on Sturridge hitting the ground running, like Gerrard did last season against Chelsea.
He has been playing very well lately but let's not forget he was very poor for a few months and at times his attitude wasn't great in that spell either.
We won't get the big bids for him until he starts to really show consistency, and that means a whole season, not fits and starts, and with more goals and assists.
Hazard who was excellent last night is only 18 months older than him has 12 goals and 11 assists this this season in all comps.
Coutinho has 2 goals and 3 assists.
Yes Hazard plays with better players in a better team, but until Coutinho is getting much nearer that sort of level of consistency then he will continue to be ignored by the big guns (and the Brazil first team).
Hopefully in the next 18 months he can make that sort of improvement.
Id definitely pick him for 5aside

Sturridge is tried and tested in the English game
Whilst your money spunking, transfer record breaking, long ball philosophy merchant of a manager is not
Stronger, fitter, faster, stronger.
I actually love Cout a little bit. I would give him what he wants right this minute as it's worrying that he only has 18 months left.
Him, Sterling, Markovic, Moreno, Can and Sakho are the future of Liverpool Football Club as they can all be as good as they want to be. Couple those 6 with some home gorwn talent in Ibe, Flanno, Rossiter and possibly Wilson (who I think will make it) then that's a platform that could work for years.

Not quite sure how our manager is relevant.
Sturridge did score within 11 mins on his debut so I think it's safe to say we can expect him to make an immediate impact
Sturridge is one of those players who can score goals when not 100% sharp, even if he contributes nothing else to the game.
At this stage, all we need is someone to stick it in the corner reliably. He doesn't need to run a marathon.
