Yeah but RC amazing awareness of football had seen right through him and knew he wouldn't be a good purchase
I would say the thing that got me most was the team yesterday would probably of been our first 11 under AVB!

It's harsh to blame Levy. For Liverpool flops they blame Rodgers, Arsenal Wenger etc. We cannot blame the chairman for players not performing. We can blame him for not backing his managers correctly, which with Poch, he must.
As poor as soldado is, our creativity in midfield is more to blame.
Eriksen the only midfielder win a creative bone. He doesn't create we don't create. Simples
90 Million for Bale
Who is to blame
Ramos
Redknapp
Comolli
AVB
all appointed by Levy
and then there was Levy who did the negotiating throughout the transfer
basically you can spin anything to look good or bad, Levy's not the best but he aint the worst. Look at Lerner and Villa
I like Soldado.
He has a good touch and great awareness.

As much as we all we wanted Soldado to work out , I just think we need to cut our losses and accept his not a premier league player.
He won't be the first striker to have arrived in England from abroad who couldn't adapt.
You had Morriantes <spelling> , Rebrov ,Shevchenko the list could go on , all proven goal scorers abroad but couldn't do it England .
I hope he proves me and everyone wrong but I can't see it happening .

This.
It's no good throwing blame around, though Levy has hired a new scout to try and improve our chances, there was every indication he'd score goals for us.
Time to sell and try again
In all seriousness, how many goals has he scored from open play in the league since he joined you guys?

It just hurts more because we sold our last decent all-round striker to Man Utd.
The other annoying issue is that Levy's constant rotation of managers has meant that even when we spend big (in relative terms). It's never the players the new manager wants.
Our managers are always creating squads from another managers transfers. THIS HAS TO STOP!!
So as fans we just constantly watch new managers ponderous tactics with players they don't really want but for sake of club harmony they have to continually go into the press and say theses players are decent quality.
Its all on big circus which I hope has come to its final act an epoch will be given two or three transfer windows to make this his squad.
Loavirgo . Well said ill be honest I have slated Poch , but am prepared to let him have a couple of seasons now to shape the squad in his mould.
He probably has about 12-13 players he needs to get rid of and about the same amount in players he wants.

So as fans we just need to make WHL entertaining for ourselves...irrespective of the football on the pitch. It's difficult but as sad as it is.. WHL should just be seen as a social day out to meet other fans and take your kids to watch football.
Until Levy and the club stop the ROTation. I have to take the positives when I see them.
Blame the scouts. Spurs signed, what was it seven or eight players with the Bale money? Law of averages says at least one would fail. For the vast majority to ffail, as I think we now agree they have, you must blame the scouting network.
Sane
I make you right, as does Levy of hiring Mitchell is anything to go by. Anyway, as other posters have said they've not been helped by a constant turnover of managers.

Our scouts seem poor but as I have come to realise blaming them is like blaming the menu in a restaurant for your choice of meal.......IF you don't like whats in front of you don't buy it and go to another restaurant.
You don't have to buy and eat what you don't want. All scouts' present is a menu of players. Thats all. so when people blame Baldini or Scouts I think its well of the mark.
I used to think the same but the more I look at our transfer policy. It's more down to manager rotation. Levy doesn't give managers time to plan a proper transfer strategy. They're gone before two summers.
loavirgo
You are certainly right to a degree, but I don't think some of Spurs recent signings would work out in the Premier League whatever the system or manager. Their skills just don't work in English football.
Apparently we have not paid anywhere near the regularly misquoted £26m for Soldado, we paid out an initial £13m with another £13m in add ons / performance payments etc. I doubt much of the extra payments have been triggered.
Only fools who want to make this look an extremely poor deal keep misquoting it as `£26m`
RE: Soldado. I am a Valencia fan and I am not entirely sure Soldado's stint at Spurs surprises me. He was never as prolific as you may think. He would be very poor for weeks then score 5 in 2 games to juke the stats. He could have a poor season then score 15 in the last 12 games and end the season with like 20 goals giving the impression that he has had a prolific season.
