Garbage mate. We don’t need RM, but we do need another striker. RM for Sturridge would be outstanding business Liverpool. 12 million for RM and Anelka would also be a good deal.

For whatever reason KD has decided that RM is surplus to requirements, using him as leverage to bring in a striker would make sense

We now have Adam and Downing, so that is the creative outlet, where exactly do you think RM will play? Nowhere is the answer, I don’t think RM has the mentality to be a sub, and Kenny knows that, so you look at valuation and all factors and make your decision. Sell, and bring in a striker.

I think the one talking garbage is clearly you here. If we lose Aquilani and Meireles then yes we do need another, unless you suppose Henderson is the answer. Sick of a few Liverpool fans who are prepared to accept mediocrity. Meireles was one of our better players last season and a few are prepared to lose him for an unproven striker. It's ridiculous. To think it would be Aquilani and Meireles out for Adam and Henderson is not improvement, it is getting worse. We need the likes of Adam and Henderson for squad depth to colver for the likes of Meireles and Gerrard, not to replace them. We've already lost Aquilani, we don't want to lose another, so enough with these crazy comments.

The only reason I would become unsettled if I were a Liverpool player was if Barcelona wanted to sign me as I believe they are the only side who might give us a game on any given day. Anyone else, pah!

Reading the above comments, all of which have merit to some degree or other, I would say this. As a life-long Red, within 3-5 years, as suggested above Luis will up sticks and move to Barca or RM. With my thanks, if he continues to play the way he has. It has to be admitted, that at present, and for the certainly near future, no player would spurn the advances of these two clubs. Meireles? My view is - please don't shoot me - for the future of our club, bearing in mind their respective ages, Raul is more central than StevieG. Further, he is a better placer of the ball. Of their two different styles of play, he will contribute more than Stevie. Plus, Stevie, because of his age, is taking more time to heal. He's been out since 6th March. Its now 26th August.
