No we've got a chance of getting him on a free transfer at the end of the season
Can't be recalled. Ibe could because he was a junior player. Bent is on 6 month loan, with no recall. No need to panic.
What is that now 4 in 5 for Bent at Derby yet Villa can't seem to buy a league goal. The way Lambert had frozen Bent out is nothing short of extremely poor. He's showing he can still poach goals and Lambert really should have put a personal feud to one side and kept him in the side.
Anyone know what the 'personal feud' was/is?
Not sure how that works Peeder. He's contracted to Villa. I would think that would out weigh any agreement Bent has with Derby.
Well Lambert kept claiming it was nothing personal and not a grudge of sorts yet he sends a striker on loan when Villa can't seem to score goals which beggars belief really.

Some loan deals have recall clauses some don't. Which Bent has is unkown to me.
I can see why some people are assuming that he will be recalled but i imagine safeguards have been put in place, Newcastle have no recall clause on Darlow/ Lacelles, Liverpool have no recall clause on Origi are just a couple of examples
Are we paying all or some of his wages. I can't imagine we are paying 65k a week, especially for someone who doesn't start most games.
Spart,
I'm not really sure what percentage we are paying of his wage but i'd imagine we are paying about a third of it.

Bent said Irn Bru was a disgusting drink, beloved by neds.
AJ - we have to agree the deal with Villa as well as Bent.
FA rules section 6.6.3 - "Long Term Loan Transfers –
Long Term Loan Transfers shall be for a full Playing Season; or from any date prior to 31st August to any date between 1st and 31st January; or from any date between 1st and 31st January (the January transfer window) to the end of the Playing Season.
A Player on Long Term Loan may not be recalled, except for a goalkeeper or where the Player is to be transferred permanently by the Club (or club) holding his registered contract."
So, he can't be recalled.
Although, as he's a goalie, Newcastle could recall Darlow from Forest if they wanted to as special rules apply to goalies.
Ibe was recalled as he was on a "youth loan" not "long term loan". Any player aged under 20 is subject to youth loan system instead.
That's been on my mind. Glad it's cleared up.
He's out of contract at the end of the season so there's nothing to agree with Villa in terms of a permanent transfer.
They can recall him if they sell him to another club though. Perhaps if the red dogs were to put in a bid for instance.. eh? Oh.
The Red Dogs are under a transfer embargo so can only spend £600,000yr including transfer fee so they can't afford him.
Any news on the injury to Martin and how long he will be out?
I know who will be the early bookies favourite
Tommo why go to a sinking ship?
I'm not saying he will go I'm just saying they will once again install him as favourite along with Tim 'gets linked with every job' Sherwood
Tommo that baffles me, Sherwood hasn't done anything special to warrant being linked with these jobs.
I know yet he still does! Personally think they may go for Howe.
Tommo what about Warburton as there seems to be a few issues with yesterday's statement.
