That should be planned for when players sign contracts - wages reduced on relegation, or an agreed sale price.

How about a perrenial struggler not planning as if relegation is not an option?

There are parachute payments. They sold Pickford for a fortune. Administration immediately is disgusting.

It's been on the cards for years with Sunderland.
