If you were Wenger and you had just made a derisory offer for an England centre half, wouldn't you keep quiet?

As it is, he (Wenger) has now said the the numbers are wrong. According to The Bolton News, It was a seven million pound offer. Not much better than the quoted six and certainly not enough.

If you want him, you will have to dig a little deeper.

Maybe we shamed him into sticking a bit more onto the bid and we accepted it will be interesting to see the team news now ahead of the Liverpool game if Cahill is not in it then he is gone.

I think we did it to embarrass Wenger.

Noticably, he didn't feature for the Carling Cup game so he wouldn't get cup tied!
