All clubs have a few racist idiots, it's inevitable because a proportion of the population are racist idiots. The only way the decent majority can stop this is to not tolerate or excuse them and this is what is appears the OP is doing.
As Edmund Burke put it "All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing".
Wasn't really the thing to be upset about is it. I would suggest you saying that a guy being delayed by 3 mins, instead of you focussing on, in 2015, a man not being allowed on a train in his home city because of his colour.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Of course it,s WRONG on every level but.....and I go back to my original post that questioned why this is deemed to be more newsworthy than a BEHEADING
This is implying that it is not worth bothering about and that they should get away with it, giving them encouragement to continue with this behaviour. Leaving aside the racism issue they had no right to decide that he could not board the train.
For that reason alone, they are a bunch of muppets that derserve everything thrown at them. To bring stories about beheadings into the mix is just absurd.
I have never ever criticised anyone on this board before. But I have to make an exception on this occasion. I think the OP is an idiot.
Please explain YOU ABSOLUTE CRETIN why this story is more important than a beheading
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Why should I explain why news broadcasters arrange their news schedules?
The story of the planned beheading of someone is clearly abhorrent - but fortunately it didn't happen. The racist abuse of an individual did happen and the recording has been broadcast around the world. I guess that's why it was a news lead?
The chaavs were being complete s but I'm inclined to agree that it's been blown up out of all proportion to what actually happened, and yes, some poor innocent sod being beheaded is a far bigger deal.
Football is a game watched by 10s of millions in this country.
Beheadings aren't
Ergo it's a bigger story
Who deems it more worthy?
Clearly the media does.... I just wish more people on here could read posts AND ACTUALLY UNDERSTAND what is written. I questioned which is more important. Given the choice (unlikely I know) that I would sooner be racially abused than beheaded ........but thats just my opinion. Clearly many of you would choose the other option. Feel free to explain why.
Obviously a joke the last comment, but nobody actually got beheaded, or even had an attempt at their nut.
He was planning to
But you were not giving a choice of which was more serious - I mean that is absolutely obvious beyond debate. You basically dismissed the story as nonsense by claiming if this was a white guy it would be a non story. By using a far more serious story as comparison you are trying to belittle what is still a serious story.
The OP clearly didn't think the beheading story was important enough either then?
If he thinks somebody actually got beheaded he clearly didn't read the story
"A SERIOUS STORY ???" - GET A LIFE FFS, and have some sense of PERSPECTIVE.
The UKIP reference should be taken with a pinch of salt as its just media driven political propaganda.
A bunch of arrogant toffs diking about with a hint of racism thrown in is less newsworthy than the story about the guy planning to behead a soldier but the media are only interested in how many hits their websites get these days.
it does diminish any argument you had that you didn't actually read the story you think should be the top news, yet are fully aware of the intricacies of the Paris story, therefore the latter being more important to you
