Clean sheet is imperative. We will seriously struggle if we concede at home.

if we need a clean sheet then I hope bellerin is fit. I dont' trust chambers at rb.....gets turned too easy.

prediction 2:0 Arsenal

It will be interesting to see Kondogbia against us. Many see him as a potential future Arsenal player, but I am not convinced.

this will be a tough 2 games but I think we'll have enough to go through

1 conceded in 8 games Clean sheet is vital then. They will be playing some average teams in Ligue 1 though so they won't be used to playing teams with our quality.

exactly.

I doubt if they'll have faced an attack of ozil, welbeck, sanchez, giroud, cazorla

Yeah the teams in that run are not Arsenal standard (although it did include a 0-0 v Lyon plus clean sheets v Bordeaux and Marseilles), but they also only conceded once in the 6 games against Leverkusen, Zenit and Benfica.

Can see a frustrating night. Hopefully we can get an early goal and put Monaco out of their comfort zone.

2-1 to Arsenal over both legs, although i was close to saying 1-0.

Monaco's defensive record has been ridiculous going back to the start of December.

Going to be a fascinating tie this.

Saw them in the Emirates cup and they looked very strong in the middle, we'll create a few chances just hope we can take them.

Shame they didn't keep Falcao, I'm guessing whoever they have up front is more of a threat...

We got a draw that nearly every other team in our group wanted and we didn't even top our group.

If we fail to beat Monaco over both legs then Wenger will have confirmed what level the team is at with him in charge and it would all be down to his refusal to get those extra 2-3 world class players to take us to the next level.

3-1 Arsenal over the tie

chatterer, it depends on how good Monaco actually are, though.

Say they do get through and then similarly frustrate a big side (they've already done that to PSG this season) then it may be more of a case of Monaco being better than people realised.

I expect you to go through anyway, though.

Monaco haven't played a team with the attacking potency we have at our disposal this season.

I don't want to sound cocky but I think we will put a few past them.

They've played PSG.

A PSG team that was missing Ibrahimovic, Thiago Silva, Aurier, Marquinihos, Lavezzi

posted on 22/2/15

But still had Lucas, Cavani, Pastore, Verratti

posted on 22/2/15

Lucas and Pastore are shít. Only Cavani from those 4 gets in our team.

posted on 22/2/15

Course they are

posted on 22/2/15

They still had a good attack out. Ibra is a miss obviously, Lavezzi isn't.

posted on 22/2/15

Pastore has been a massive flop and Lucas is the Brazilian Gervinho But if you rate them, ya ok

TBF, no matter the quality of opposition played they have, you cannot deny Monaco are a solid defensive team. They will stick 9 men behind the ball and frustrate the hell out of us.
And we have all experienced the frustration many times before against well organised teams.

Hope we can get an early goal and dominate, but I think it will be a tough tie.
