Johnson might play RCB but I hope it is Kolo.

Demba Ba likely to be out for them.

Manquillo seems to be surplus these days

Dammit Hendersons energy will be missed in what is likely to be a very cagey tie with them needing a goal plus the atmosphere the Turkish are known to create. With Lucas and Gerrard also out the only other option will be playing Can in midfielder I assume with Allen partnering him. That does leave a few questions in defence though if that does happen with Lovren and Skrtel probably playing with Kolo I reckon.

Coutinho needed a rest for sure and in recent weeks despite his goal of the season contender on Sunday has looked quite jaded.

Will be interesting then. Maybe kolo and lovren alongside skrtel and can in midfield

That would give me the sh.its.
The 3 centre-back formation only really seems to work when Can is there.

He tried it with other personnel in the few games before the Swansea game (first tried it at United when Johnson came off), but it didn’t really work until he tried it with Can, in the 4-1 against Swansea.

Since then, the defence has been tight as a duck’s ass. Maybe I’m being too nervy, but I’m not confident of it without Can.

Kolo and Skrtel are pretty solid. Lovren is starting to improve but still worries me. If Ba is injured they don't really have much of a threat to worry about.

No Markovic either after that ridiculous 4 match ban.

Getting the early away goal will be the key. If they need three we can drop off and keep our shape, keep things tight and should see them off, we've only really looked vulnerable against the counter when chasing the game against Spurs.

hopefully lovren actually plays lcb instead of learning a new side

Johnson is out as well. We have taken some U21 players with us
