Yet another my girlfriend story. It's amazing how many times you drop her into your comments. You're like a 15 year old boy that just got laid for the first time.

Just like the London riots, the local cha.vs used the situation to act violently, without even knowing why they were doing it.

Well he spend all day with his girlfriend Juan, or as we would call it his operating system.

I watched the show, fell asleep about half way through though. The area seemed pretty rough and run down, just like the people living there.

You should have kept watching as it escalated towards the end to a real 'mob rule' situation. Woe betide someone living there wrongfully accused of being a paedo.

I'll watch it sometime on catch up

It is a touchy subject. The blokes in the pub who were keen not be called racists made some valid points about areas of the UK losing it's identity, this street being one of them.

It shocked me how many people don't understand what the words "immigrant" or "immigration" means.

Southampton is a real sh-thole, where was it, in Shirley?

England's cities can be really depressing once you get outside of London.

Personally, I find London one of the most depressing cities I've ever been to. You can walk past thousands of people every day without a single word said or a single moments eye contact, apart form the rude feckers who are barging their way around thinking they are better than others.

Lots of nicer places in the UK than London.

Depends what you want I guess, I couldn't care less if a stranger said hello to me. I get far more enjoyment with being with friends, family and people I actually know.

Fair enough. The rat race isn't for me I guess.

That's the thing with London, it's huge and is basically made up of lots of smaller cities. Once you find the area for you you can feel very welcome. I've lived in Hackney now for nearly 15 years and I think it's a great place, great culture, plenty of pubs, some amazing food, massive diversity, big parks, most of my friends live here, lots of places to relax, but then going west is like another world and not for me at all.

I don't mind Camden, I've friends throughout London so I visit at least 4/5 times a year, I prefer the peace and quiet of the suburbs.

Had a fry up at E Pellicci yesterday, one of the friendliest places you will ever visit in London.

Welcome to Hackney
A place where I think somebody's been playing Jumanji.
A Manor where man are like animals,
An' they'll yam on you like they yam on food.
Cats with claws that'll stab a yout', act bad an' catch a slap or two.
We don't applaud success, all we clap are tools.
London ain't cool to cruise through where the hunters pray,
Looking lunch today,
And your chains looking like fresh fruit to a hungry ape.
They'll eat on you, then laugh about it like Hyenas do,
So stick to breezing through, like cheeta's do or be a piece of food.

So you like being around your friends and family, therefore any other city apart from London is a sh-thole? Do people in other cities not have their own family and friends around them..

The Blue Kenyan

Yes they do but you choose your friends and for me and what I like London offers far more which is why I moved there. I wouldn't choose to live in Southampton. I've had family live in Southampton and visited many times, it's a complete sh-t hole

I hate it with a passion. Have applied to BG group in Reading, will move if I get the job

Southampton especially around St Marys is a feckin dump

posted on 26/2/15

St Mary's is horrible, there was a comic shop there many years ago and I remember the owner had just been to court about his rights to see his kid, ended up trying to strangle the judge and had to be restrained.
