Killing in the name of - RATM

posted on 4/3/15

I always liked that song that is on the Jaguar adverts.

There's a version on YouTube with Adriana Lima on the beach frolicking in a bikini.

Think the original had Helena Christensen doing the same.

Can't think of the name

I'm not married but am engaged, and I recently penned my own lyrics to James Blunts 'Beautiful Dawn', so that when we do get married, I'll have someone perform it for us.

Lovely song, I'll do it for ya

BEAUTIFUL BRIDE

V1
Beautiful Bride, you are a rock for me
There is no-one else I could want
I count my blessings every single day

V2
Beautiful Bride, let’s go walk down that aisle again
You made me the world’s happiest man
Infinite love

Chorus
Thank God you’re mine
Cos you keep me warm in your sunshine
In time
We’ll look back on our lives, we’ll be satisfied

V3
Beautiful Bride, let’s go dance again
When you said that ‘you will’, it was my biggest thrill
I’ll forever remember our vows

V4
Beautiful Bride, you’ve just blown my mind again
Standing there in your gorgeous skin
You’re my mind’s eye

Chorus
And now you’re mine
And you keep me warm in your sunshine
You’re so fine
Let’s enjoy this ride one day at a time

Bridge
Will you be my shoulder, when I’m grey and older?
Promise me tomorrow starts with you

Chorus
You’re mine
And you keep me warm in your sunshine
So fine
Let’s enjoy this ride one day at a time

Chorus
All mine
And it’s you and me ‘til the end of time
Your loves sublime
Let’s enjoy this ride one day at a time

I think letting your new Mrs choose 1D as the first dance just sets the wrong tone for the rest of your lives together.

It is both your first song so it has to be a compromise, don't just pander to the woman partially when it comes to something like music when blokes generally have more interest than woman.

Bit of an annoyance of mine that woman think everything is about them, my Mrs asked me last month what I was arranging for valentines’ day so I asked her why woman always think it is all about them and she ended up making me poached eggs and crispy bacon, chilled a bottle of champagne and melted some chocolate for strawberries all while I was still asleep, could’ve backfired to be fair but I needed to make a stand against this madness.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Well I've just told my fiancé to get in with everything and not to consult me.

Apparently I'm negative because I felt paying £900 for a photographer, £120 for some save the date cards and a £400 on a photo booth was a rip off and I could have save half the money.

Phhhftt.

Pete Doherty & Wolfman - "for lovers"
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I wanted this. Fiancé heard who sang it and refused

Otherwise all the wedding guests would have been smoking crack at the reception.

It's a beautiful song.

Just give in..life is easier if you just let them get on with it and worrying about paying later.

I was the same and when i realised after the 4th 'meeting' about costings...i just couldnt be a.rsed anymore.

Went to wedding a few years ago and they had Patience by Guns and roses that was good.

Power of love by FGTH is also an oldie but a good one

Constructive criticism if you don’t mind, how about alternating the chorus to the effect that you are also hers? Sounds little possessive at the moment and I think alternating it would give more balance, it is a partnership.

seriously why do some women want 1 direction??????

it CANT be for the music.

so is it ok for grown women to be swooning over 17 year olds?
Guys if your wife to be chooses a song that is blatantly cos the "singer" is good looking, then have your choice as the youngest, poppiest, candyfloss teenie bop girl you can think of..... off the top of my head that Friday girl, and see thier reaction. Then just claim that it is because the song is beautiful.

i am lucky with my girl cos she hates all that stuff too. But if anything like that was suggested as a wedding song then the wedding would not happen!
Cos i dont know about you lot but an adult swooning over a child doesn't sit right with me.

Criticism taken on board mate, but I just don't think other words would have the right sound for those higher notes. The words fine/mine/sublime etc just seem to sound and fit right

Weddings are ridiculously over priced, it's the small things thag add up.

My venue is £50 a head for the day and that's without a choice of menu and I have 59 members of family myself.

I've been reminded of this (like its my fault) so Im just letting her get on with anything else she wants.

I would also maybe like 'Falling Slowly' from Once as a wedding song, I know she likes it so I wouldn't be against it. Even better if Glen Hansard performed it live.
