Will Monday game be a formality for United?

"1 win in the last 15 games against United would suggest otherwise "

Is that true?

Just a pathetic record, no other word for it.

History means nothing in football. It's for bookmakers.

"History means nothing in football."

psychology is arguably as important as talent in football.

and history plugs into psychology

Well the past does matter and history does mean something, Wenger said himself that we were haunted by the 'ghost' of the 5-1 at Anfield last season which is why we played so poorly there. If one defeat at Anfield can do that to us, what does 1 win in 15 do?

they don't believe in or understand what the manager wants them to do.

on paper United are much better than those 2 sides. on the pitch they look lost and confused.

"on paper"?? Another useless term in football. I think it's you who is lost and confused.

People aren't robots of course history matters if they were a part of it.

Grand Cannon, your logic is terrible. First off, Spurs haven't beaten United this season. Southampton - their players didn't even know about the 25+ years or whatever it was since they won at OT.

In football the only thing that matters is who plays better on the day. Otherwise Bradford should have lost to Chelsea, and Spurs and Southampton should not have beaten Man U.

I think Grand Cannon has taken "history plays a part" and turned it into "every result can be put down solely to history".

No one said that. Silly to suggest psychology and therefore history doesn't make a difference, though

All you need to do to realise why our players bottle it every single time against Utd is just watch Sky Sports in the build up to the match. They will be reminded over and over again of the 8-2, the winless run etc.

The last enjoyable performance against Utd was the 2-1 home game in 2008/09 when Nasri raped them.

1 win since then is it!?

Spurs have beaten Man U at OT in the last 2 seasons. They haven't played at OT this season so I don't see what your point is. And everybody was dismissing Southampton as Man U's whipping boys until they beat Man U at OT after 28 yrs. So to say Man U will beat Arsenal just because of history is utter garbage, and that's my point.

no one has said that so I think you'll find everyone agreeing with that point.

If Man United have so many WORLD CLASS players, why do they not win trophies and keep finishing below us

Ddg

arteta Ramsey
Sanchez ozil cazorla
rooney

Yep.

posted on 6/3/15

Would probably have Blind/Carrick ahead of Arteta, Shaw if he ever gets back to his Southampton form, but apart from that hard to disagree, Andre

posted on 6/3/15

The only Utd players that would get into the arsenal side are the obese left back and the aplaca in net.

All runs, good or bad, have to come to an end some time.

Apart from us finishing above Spurs of course. That will never end.

Shaw is a shadow of the player he was at Southampton

Shrek and de gea are the only ones
