You have to give credit where credit is due though. Brendan saw his initial system and tactics were not working just a few games in and changed while retaining his attacking passing principles. Our bloke has been in la la land and even when it does change (two up front, attacking down the flanks, forward passes etc) he can not bring himself to admit his League tactics have been wrong, instead saying it was all due to refreshing the Team. I predict that backward and sideways crab football will return when he brings Barry back in, and he will bring him in as he would rather sacrifice the Team than his principles, look at Wigan.

I've seen a lot worse squads in the past and also a lot worse styles of play due to quality of player.This season though has been the biggest waste of the resources we have of player I have ever witnessed.
Or do you believe that Martinez has got the best out of the players?

He does ask/train/demand players to play possession football that involves a lot of possession in our own half.Any mistakes made are magnified by the area of the pitch they are played.
Thus you can say he has to bear some sort of blame.
We probably make the same number of sloppy passes as most other premiership teams,but most of ours are punished as we tend to have more possession in our own half,make a mistake 10 yards from the opponents box you have time to recover,make a mistake 10 yards from our own box then often it's too late.

Not all teams have played the laboured possession football that we have done this season.
I haven't and will not blame him for sitters being missed and goals conceded by rank bad defending,but I can lay some blame on Martinez's door for the often dour possession based football I have seen all season.
I can point out that Robles deputised for Howard and he looked assured and confident after a shaky start only to find himself to be replaced by Howard who again continues to produce more than the odd howler this season.That can be laid firmly on Martinez's doorstep.
