One on one he's good. Reflexes are decent. Does seem to organize well.
However...
His kicking is atrocious. Suspect on crosses. Prone to mind farts.
He's far from World Class. I could name about 5-6 keepers in the PL who are better than he is: DDG, Courtios, Cech, Lloris, all definitely are. Then you can make arguments for Forster, Begovic, Valdes (?), Krul (?). Don't be fooled by a very good performance, he's not in the top bracket.
any one know what happened to the original stretty?
To be fair Park, Forster, Begovic, Krul, Lloris aren't in the top bracket either. Hart is better than all of these. Cech no longer is (he was). DDG time will tell, only I do think DDG will prove to be a much better keeper over the entire duration of his career. Same with Courtios.
Joe Harts best performances always seem to come in heroic defeats, and usually after he's conceded an early goal. Watch the weekend now - he'll get nowhere near a corner and City will lose the game.
He must put himself under a lot of pressure and the whole "oh well, nothing to lose now" factor must kick in and allow him the freedom and confidence to show what he can do. When I watch City in the league I think he's pretty average.
He was head and shoulders above any other City player last night.
