Liverpool game now a 6 pointer

Best thing for us (United) is you beating them. It'd be nice if you absolutely battered them with Danny getting a hat trick, but I'd take a scrappy win for Arsenal.

You'll beat Liverpool, they've completely bottled it

It will be Liverpool's final about top 4. If they lose at the Emirates it will be tough for them.

If they win they are back in. A draw should be good enough for us but not for Liverpool

A draw could see us drop to 4th.

Need a win, hope Skrtel is suspended he's scored against us a couple of times now.

Was happy United won yesterday would rather 5th place is cut off than have both on our tails with a bit of breathing space.

Winning is crucial towards the fate of top 4. Better that we ultimately drop to 4th by the end of the season than the possibility of 5th ..... but honestly I'm still thinking about the title

Quite worried about this game.

If Ibe is back, then we could have some real problems - not just because of his pace and directness, but also because it allows Rodgers to play a front-three of Sterling-Coutinho-Sturridge, which I fear would be very difficult to cope with.

They also press well as a team, which seems to be our Kryptonite at the moment.

I could also see Giroud getting very isolated against their back 3.

That's the way you do it

Liverpool will certainly be without Skrtel, and I have a feeling Gabriel may partner Kos again.

While these type of games are always difficult to predict, I feel we should be confident of getting all three points.

Easy win, Liverpool are vastly overrated.

We should of won at Anfield earlier in the season.

Worried as well. Though they lost yesterday, they are on a good run of results and these days they seem to be better without Gerrard, who is suspended.

Al. - Giroud plays like Drogba in his prime

Liverpool were woeful against United, and most predicted a comfortable win for them.

On their day they can beat any side in the PL, and given they are in last chance saloon for CL qualification, I do not think for a minute there will be an “easy win.”

I am worried as well. Liverpool knows how to play against us. I am really worried and I hope that Wenger chose the right tactics this time.

I wouldnt say Pool know how to play against us, what is it 2 win for them in like 1 games vs us.

posted on 23/3/15

Doubt we'll lose.

What's our home record like in the league? 2 losses in 2 seasons? or 3 in 2?

I'm not sure what you mean GT, liverpool are our bunnies among the top teams, even Spurs are a harder match up now.

There absence in recent years of any real animosity between the 2 clubs has traditionally made it hard for them to be fired up against us.

I am worried that we can have another monaco moment if they score first. Truth of the matter is we are winning games because we consistently score first.

I actually hope we press them rather than the slow tempo start we tried to employ against Monaco. We need to make life difficult for them like we did against United at the emirates

posted on 23/3/15

I think it'll be played for 3 points.

posted on 23/3/15

Pool are a good team, but we are at home so that gives me confidence.
I think the best Pool can get is a draw, i'll be very surprised and disappointed if we dont get all 3 points.
Its a shame The Ox is out injured

We're at home, baring any injuries from internationals, I'm expecting Arsenal victory. No way can we lose to a side with Henderson and Allen as their midfielders ffs.

posted on 23/3/15

Henderson is quite good at making an impact in recent times. He seems to have a great shot on him like Coutinho. Anyway Liverpool battered Arsenal at Anfield but then again they did against us at OT to. I reckon Arsenal will do well to draw and lets not forget its an early kick off first game back after international break, remember that 5-1. If Liverpool do win they would be in a good position to finish in top 4. Thats why I hope its a draw so we can leapfrog Arsenal and gain on Liverpool providing we beat Villa.

........
A draw is best. Keeps Southampton Tottenham in top 4 race and Man utd if they beat Villa could leapfrog Arsenal.

we'll do well to draw

We are at home Hafi, how can you say we'll do well to draw against a Pool team that's 6pts behind us

posted on 23/3/15

Liverpool last goal they conceded in the league away from home was at Old Trafford when RVP made it 3-0. So you will have to score to beat them.

posted on 23/3/15

We last failed to score against Southampton 21 games ago. And we have probably scored first in all games except monaco at home.
