ATM its spurs. But its ever changing. Spurs need a new stadium and a cash injection to sustain it though. Because like the above clubs, recent success can become ancient history in the blink of an eye
Right now it's clearly Spurs. Over their whole histories?? It's either Spurs or Everton (hard to ignore Everton's title haul), followed by Villa and then Newcastle.
But everyone knows this type of thread will end in a pointless slanging match.
Dont know about that, villa's EC has to count for a fair bit.
To be serious on the matter it is obviously us.. But Everton have been there and thereabouts for a long time, they need a good start to the season, something they have struggled with for a while

Everton and Spurs have enjoyed sustained periods of success that the other two clubs simply can't match.
Since 1925, Villa have only won 1 league title, 1 European Cup (the lowest ranked team to ever win it), 1 European Super Cup and 5 League Cups. In addition to this they've been relegated numerous times.
I'd still rank them as the sixth 'biggest' club in England all-time, but they're below Spurs and Everton for me.
As a contrast, I'll list the respective honours for Spurs and Everton since 1925:
Spurs have won 2 league titles, 2 UEFA Cups, 6 FA Cups, 1 Euro Cup Winners' Cups and 4 League Cups.
Everton have won 7 league titles, 1 Euro Cup Winners' Cup and 4 FA Cups.
Probably in terms of that I would actually go for everton.
I think european success is great. But the domestic title is the most important and they have a fair few. Also they didnt get the chance to play in europe did they? So who knows what they could of done.
Just my 2 pennies though.
ATM it is spurs imo, by a clear distance aswell. But as I said you ahve to keep it up. Starting with some top signings this summer.
Yeah, Spurs have by far the largest fan base out of the aforementioned clubs - in 2008 The Guardian ranked them the 3rd most supported club in the UK behind only Liverpool and Man Utd - but I would probably rank Everton ahead of Spurs too. They were robbed of their chance for European glory in the 80s. Plus league titles count for more than League Cups.
* Sorry 3rd most supported club amongst English fans only. Internationally I'm sure Arsenal and Chelsea will have far more fans due to their recent success. We'd still have more than Everton, Villa and Newcastle though...

spurs, first english team to win in europe
Everton
Spurs
Villa
Newcastle
Aston villa simply because we won the european cup.Wasn't as long ago as you think. Until any Spud team or any team else from London wins that then until then keep quiet please. As for Everton the shadow of Liverpool fc, we have been there right up against them, Check last 10 results. Their fans have a chip on their shoulders against the Villa for some reason (maybe Ashley Young and Gabby makin the whole ground go silent 3-2 : ) As for Newcastle FC. Cant see you goin anywhere. as for the Villa, We aint gonna win no league anytime soon, but with our chairman and right manager its top 4 ASPIRATIONS not a deluded demand so we just might get there sometime. Up The Villa. Spurs have played better this season, so have Everton and Newcastle but the biggest club is up to the fans thenselves.

DavidVilla is trying to tell us that Aston Villa are bigger than Arsenal as well as Spurs
Well done to the OP - he writes an article, creates an argument and doesn't return to it.
Well done to all those that contributed to it - you have been well and truly caught by his bait.
Living in London its hard to gauge the size of other teams fanbase. Where I live it is hardcore Spurs and Arsenal, with a couple of West Ham fans and Man united fans dotted about.
With that in mind, I think that the only club on that list that could rival Spurs for overall side is Everton. Remeber the traditional big 5 clubs in England are United Arsenal Liverpool Spurs and Everton, not necessarily in that order.
Everton have an impressive title haul, although we have more overall honours.
57.8% of the Villa fan base weren't born when Villa won the EC
STAT FACT
100% of the Spurs fan base weren't born when they won the EC. Fact.
What % of the spurs fan base were born when you won the league?
