We just need to go for it against Arsenal.
Go for broke. Force them onto the back foot and see what happens.
I am not confident but you never know. They are not unbeatable if we play well.
If we are to play Sturridge we need to play 2 up front as he is isolated and frustrated on his own. I would put Sterling up front with him and have Lucas in the holding role. Markovic on the right as a work horse. We need to trample on their midfield from kick off.
No, his injury seems long term TKT, could be a few more weeks. There was some interview on the official saying he was hoping to play again before the season finishes. I thought he would be back now but it seems he's nowhere close yet.
We need to win or top 4 is gone because I cannot see utd slipping up against Villa
Irishred
I agree. Lose this game and kiss goodbye to top 4
Clearly said it just so he couldn't play for England and get injured again.
T bone, as it stands we only have an outside chance anyway mate.
The utd defeat really damaged our chances. It is just unfortunate that our next game is at a ground where we have regulary struggled.

I know mate and we have played really poorly in our last few games. If we beat Utd confidence would be high. The plus note is last time they beat us we went on a winning run. Lets hope the same can happen as Utd still have some tricky games yet.

Irrespective of what happens on Saturday I think your fans should never lose sight of what you have done in the 2nd half of the season.
At the end of the day the gap was too big to cover up. We also played badly in the first half of the season but what has really helped us is the fact that we have got rid of most of our difficult fixtures.
United will stumble but I feel the gap is too big to cover. It's like expecting city to win the league from their current position.
I think you are better served if you sit back, play compact and try to hit us on the break. If you play an overly offensive game you will almost certainly lose.

If fit, Studge should start . He's deadly in front of goal.
Change of system/tactics are required imo, we've looked pretty average recently. Possibly a return to a diamond

We took 8 PTS in 9 games in September, October, to 23rd November.
That almost killed us and meant we needed virtually title form from then on. We have had a good go, with 40 PTS from 18 games since then, but it's probably not going to be enough.
We need to win all but 1 of our remaining games realistically.
We have also played poorly esp away from home, same applies to United but somehow we have been more fortunate. It's amazing how you ď¸maybe 8 points behind United on Saturday evening yet you have not been any worse than them this season.
I actually don't think we played anything decent in the first half of the season but we are in 3rd position.
You are missing too many key players to win on Saturday. Draw is the most likely result and it doesn't even help you at all. Ibe would have made a huge difference. At least you will have Lucas back but as for sturridge it will depend which player turns up.
I hope our players won't be overly complacent and start at the same tempo we played at against monaco.

We still have Chelsea away. Jose's cup final is always against us so he will do everything to win that game.

I am starting to dread our potential FA cup final meeting. Don't get me wrong I would rather play your lot than United but the whole Steven Gerrard side show is what bothers me.
He hadn't had much luck recently but it would be typical for him to win his last trophy against us.
We virtually helped Houlier land his cup competition treble
I really hope Villa do you. The FA cup is normally Wengers lucky trophy but I still have Owen nightmares. Would be typical for us to dominate you and Mario to score 2 goals against the run of play.
"I think you are better served if you sit back, play compact and try to hit us on the break. If you play an overly offensive game you will almost certainly lose."
somewhat fair
but I think it's 50/50
coming out full on for the first 20 mins to try and score early isn't a bad idea either though. If it doesn't come off settle back to something more conservative.
I agree 90 mins toe to toe attacking favours arsenal though

No it's not. If Chelsea win their game in hand they are 9 points clear of City.
If (big if) we happened to win this weekend we are only 3 points behind Arsenal, big games to come for all teams involved, City could even get dragged into the top 4 fight.
Not over by a long shot.

We will lose at the bridge guaranteed, so we basically need to win every other game.

All Liverpool players "injured" exactly when the internationals start. They will be fit and firing for our game.

I can assure you that Sturridge and Ibe wont be fit.
