I think Trump vs Murphy would be an excellent final.

The crucial frame was 8-7 & 68 up... And lost.. He won the first tonight too.. 10-7 would have been a different story...

Great performance and result by Bingham, Ronnie not really been at the races all tournament, his concentration not been there only in short bursts, have spoken about Robertson, Trump, Murphy, etc but Hawkins and Bingham are looking the real deal as well, all well capable of winning this no real expected winner, the popular winner prob. Trump with his flair, but I think they all have the belief they can win beating Ronnie everything for Bingham will prob. seem like an anti-climax, but he may have to play even better than against Ronnie to win the title also wouldn't want to beat Ronnie and then lose, be icing on the cake to win the title and say you beat Ronnie along the way, be even more special.

My only concern with Trump is if he's already played his best snooker. Can he do it when it gets to the nitty gritty like against someone like Robbo?

Trump has improved his safety game a lot this past year but yeah scrappy frames may still be a slight issue for him.

Yes he can, absolutely.. He has played Ronnie in 3 finals this season, he won the Last one, he can play those long tactical frames now... No bother.. He is far too strong for Bingham.... Then perhaps his destiny in the final...

Hope he can do it, will show everyone how far he has come since his only other World final four years ago. Pressure cranked up more on him now though, media will mark him as the new tournament favourite.

The standard of snooker the last 5 - 10 years has increased rapidly, so many players now are capable of winning the biggest tournaments.

Davis and Hendry were great players but in their eras they only had a handful of serious contenders for tournaments. It is much more competitive and far more difficult to win tournaments these days.

Ronnie did not seem to be fully focused at all, it seemed like he had things on his mind, or maybe he was just bored.

Wonder how long before the next "I'm going to retire" episode...

It's crazy how good a break builder Robertson has become since that chat with Hendry. If he wins the title then Hendry should be asking for a cut of his prize money.
