Term, if you're getting a fair price for them then there's nothing to be irritated about.
Bale and Walcott both came from Southampton, are they bitter? Not really, from what I can tell they actually seem proud that their youth have gone on to amazing things.
It's not poaching if your club is too incompetent to deal with Sterling's contract situation...

But my overall point is that I'd like to keep these players at my club and enjoy the fruits of their development. I know it's not a realistic wish, but I would take immense satisfaction if we could do this.
That's a fair point. I'm sure we'd all love our youth products to stick with our club - but there are very few 1 club men left & unless you pay them what they want, they, unfortunately, have the power.

That's really 'debating the point'
And again, you're getting the terms of 'moaning' and 'frustration' mixed up. Big difference in the two. You actually do far less 'debating the point' than you probably think. The usual way it pans out is that someone posts their opinion, then you tell them they're wrong and try to make them appear inferior to yourself by typing in that condescending manner you're so good at.

When you get frustrated, you moan.
And say things like 'the likes of City' and 'let others do the hard work and reap the rewards'.
When we signed Lallana did you apologise to Southampton fans for 'the likes of us' 'unsettling and poaching' their star players and 'letting them do all the hard work and reaping the rewards'.

If sterling's agent tells him that City will pay £160k a week, why would he stay at Liverpool? where realistically his chances of winning trophies is less, and he's not a scouser. He is a definite starter, that's what Liverpool can offer, it might not be enough of a pull to keep your best players. I wonder what sort of wages Liverpool can afford, I'd say they can offer £150k a week for a handful of players
