The only way they will be better is with summer football, something that I hope to god happens.
It still amazes me it's taken until 2015 for it to be given real thought.
The heat lamps that Celtic have is something that would help other teams but I'm not entirely sure how expensive they are?

I've been saying for years that pitches should be priority.
games are shown on tv and the pitches are a complete embarrassment, but what chance do you stand when they cant even get the national stadium right.
Clubs should be forced to invest in their pitches. That game on Saturday never had a chance of providing any decent football. Players couldn't run with the ball at their feet, passing was difficult, it was like trying to play football on a corrugated roof.
I remember Robbie Keane was absolutely scathing about the state of pitches in Scotland.
I could get the national stadium right..................demolish it !

Our parks are still no better than the local park that kids play on, it's an embarrassment.
That one at Tannadice is by far the worst in the country, a complete shambles and our cup game on it was broadcast on Sky Sports

Totally agree on the pitches, but it comes down to money and teams in Scotland don't have it
=======
maybe they could save up their pocket money?
This is the worst I've known United's pitch to be. It's never the best, but it's certainly normally better than this.
And in our defence, have you seen some of the pitches down in England too? You can tell which teams in England have money by the state of their surface.
We've just been unfortunately that it's been a tough winter (in terms of gardening).
I'd rather have summer football than a league full of artificial pitches though.

Killie's astro pitch is a belter. We played some crackin fitbaw on it first game back after our winter break. As long as it is watered then I have no issues with it.

The pitches aren't pristine in comparison to some of tje English clubs bit that's coz Scottish football is skint.. There just isn't the money there to invest in state of the art technology.
And the pitches today are still head and shoulders above where they were even 20 years ago when Tommy Burns' teams were playing some great stuff. You can't always blame the pitch.. Especially when our old training ground resembled a tattie field.
