The second semi-final saw old adversaries reacquainted as Wenger participating in his third semi-final would take on Saggy who has won the last two official tournaments and was looking to become only the second person ever to win three in a row, Millwall v Blackburn it was. From what Wenger told me it was Saggy who took the lead via Rhodes strike, however it wasn’t a lead which would last long as Wenger got himself back into it via a goal from Fuller. This followed with some end to end stuff which Saggy just about edged. Golden goal had to settle it and it didn’t take too long when Fuller played in Gueye who slotted it into the bottom right to send champion Saggy out and Wenger into his first ever official final!
Commiserations to Saggy he has suffered the same fate as Kent and Voom before him who just couldn’t get over the line and manage three in a row. However a great run and I’m sure he will be back to trouble the latter stages of the tournaments once again. As for Wenger, having been humiliated 6 – 1 in his last official semi-final he now can go to the final knowing a 1st title could well be his!
Not the final many would’ve predicted. Both debutants in the official tournament final as Wenger’s Millwall takes on Mike’s Wolverhampton. Remember that nobody has ever won the tournament on their debut so Mike had a great chance to change that. Wenger flew out of the blocks and instantly dominated the match; Mike nearly conceded a penalty and was lucky it was not given. However he didn’t get lucky a second time after dragging a player down in the box, Wenger scored to make it 1 – 0. The tone of dominance continued and it wasn’t long till Wenger was celebrating once again making it 2 – 0 after Fabrini rounded the keeper to slot home and finish the half in style. Mike got it together in the second half with his trademark pressing and was instantly rewarded when Afobe made it 2 – 1. Wenger’s Jos Hooived took Afobe down 25 yards from the goal to leave him with 10 men and Mike a chance to hammer home the advantage, but despite Mike dominance a good goalkeeping performance from Forde saw Wenger secure his 1st title and put Mike’s challenge to rest.
Well nobody knew who the heck Mike Harris was in tournament circles before this one started, but he has sure made a statement for himself! One of the great tournament stories which just lacked the fairy-tale ending. Hopefully see you again soon Mike to prove you’re not a one-tournament wonder. As with all tournaments though, the main applause belongs to the winner. Wenger always seems to be the understated man with the plan and dragged a dross outfit like Millwall to tournament success and his first title. He has the potential to retain the title that’s for sure.
League One is our next stop people, so whether you’re a tournament regular, used to be or somebody who just fancies a go. Give it a try and see if you can score a victory in one of the hardest competitions around!
Nice read.
One mistake, I beat Monica
Yeah I was wondering that too, something didn't add up between yours and his results so I just went with I thought happened.
So lucky for me, it didn't have any baring on the 4th place spot in the end as I beat you.

More than welcome to sign up once you do upgrade, and anybody you might know who is interested.
Don't get many Scots unfortunately.
Good write up
Thoroughly enjoyed it as my first tournament.
Athough I got lucky on a few occasions, I managed to give a good account of myself I think. Highlight was scraping the 3-3 draw with Saggy to make it into the knockouts on goal difference.
See you in League one!
i will make the jump sooner or later
I just need to convince the wife that i NEED one
Cya again Mike.
