Offloading Lallana sounds easy but will be hard in practice for a decent amount. Before we signed him there was 2 concerns which were:
1) Injury record
2) Being a 60 minute player
Neither have been dispelled. I can't seen anyone silly enough to pay more than £15m for him.

what did you expect for him to say "I'm the worst manager for LFC"
He also said there was no one better as his relationship was so strong with the owners.

He has confidence in himself it's good.
He's a first class coach, needs more experience as a manager but that will come.
At this moment he knows the limitations of the squad and I trust him to put all that right this summer.
It's great that the moves to buy players are well under way but it was last summer as well.
I am fed up with buying players to be honest.
Rodgers has already brought 24 players including loans and sold 28.
That will probably be up to 35 and 40 respectively by the end of the summer.
I was thinking recently that we had a squad now and only should add players who add value to the first team.
If Sterling goes we are back to the drawing board again like we were with Suarez. I am not saying Sterling is Suarez's quality but he is a key player and they are hard to replace.
Hopefully FSG can sign him up like they did with Suarez with an exit clause on his contract. That way we should only buy 2 -3 class players this summer and no more squad players
He also said there was no one better as his relationship was so strong with the owners **
Well it must be if they are going to keep on despite no champions league football next season
Yeah, as long as he doesn't break any promises to the chairman he is safe.
How about Bob Martin?

Yeah?
Yeah?
Feck off
When was the last time we bought a player and thought yeah this guy is the business. Probably Suarez.
Under Rodgers he has not bought anyone that makes you stand up and say yeah. Especially start of the season.
I don't have any faith in this current system that they will bring in the right players. The quality of signings on the whole, has been terrible.
That will need to be changed to see any improvement. Frankly the decision makers who brought in Balotelli need to be removed. The owners need to make these clowns accountable.
Quality and not quantity is what we need, we have plenty of squad fillers coming through the ranks.
Rodgers on ambition: "This is a club with ambition, that's why we have to strive to be the best. We want to be winners. I'm motivated to make sure we progress and make the next step."
Rodgers: "We will always strive to be the best. The reality is we want to be winners. I'm even more motivated to make sure we progress."

He needs to emphasise this more IMO
Coutinho was a talent but not playing ugh for inter so was a gamble, not like say buying someone like sachet etc.
I agree stop buying players for the sake of it and buy quality. The maekovis one really irks me as surely they could see that 20 Mil spend was not necessary when I've was around
Damn auto correct I mean sanchez
Markovich will go on to be a quality player.
its his first season in a new league, hes young and hungry for success, give the kid a chance ffs.
He might go on to be a quality player, then again he might not. Ability is not the only variable that makes a successful signing.
I listened to an anfield wrap podcast the other day and they were talking about him being homesick.
Not too many attacking players from Serbia and further east have been very successful in England.
I personally feel we have bought him too early and he may flop.
Markovic looks a better player when playing on left than right but on left he's competing with Moreno, Sterling and Coutinho which makes him 4th choice. We may have to consider loaning him out to get proper games under him.
It's not about give the kid a chance. It is about seeing what you have and then buying sensibly. Seriously did we really need markovic and at that price when we had a player with potential already in Ibe. Just my thoughts on it.
@DanKennett: Finally some validation from Tony Evans on #LFC recruitment last Summer. The process was bypassed and Rodgers was allowed to name targets.
Serbia..
He was playing in Portugal!
