Yeah just reading that myself. It may be just that Utd are not interested. If they did come in then you'd have to think he'd choose them but the story seems pretty adamant.
Mirror...
There's no way he'd choose Liverpool over us anyway
Champions League football* with the manager who gave him his debut for the National side or Europa League with the supposedly "best manager in the world" in Pep Rogers. Hmmmm....
*Depending on the outcome of the next five games.
If Utd bid for him of course.
Nothing more than touting for big money from Utd at this point unless Pool can get in the top 4.
Hazard did it with Spurs before moving to Chelsea and Willian did it with both Spurs and Pool
He is currently in a position to play CL football next year with PSV
Maybe Depay will realise that he could become first choice at Liverpool but at Man U there is more competition for places.
Don't assume that prior association with LvG is a guarantor of linking up again. LvG has been a divisive character over the years, maybe to some he's good in small doses.

Kuyt and Zenden advising him to choose Liverpool. That's terrible journalism. Two Dutch players who happen to have played for Liverpool have no baring over his decision.
He will choose United who will have CL, LVG, RVP and Blind to entice him.
I have read some quotes from him concerning game time and some high profile Dutch players have spoken about him not joining a big squad too early and not getting enough game time.
Maybe there is some truth in it.
It's sad to concede this but unless you're a Liverpool fan or have a connection to the club, I can see why most players would pick United over us at the moment.
So many variables in this. Lvg his old boss, the dutch players at utd, game time, former lfc players advising him, the lure of CL football.
PSG could come in as well. As many have said before, only believe it when he holds a lfc shirt in his hand at Anfield after signing.
It all boils down to the same thing. Can we attract the best players? So far no. Have we changed anything about the way we sign players and what terms we offer? Probably not.
I think we probably have a few years outside the top four to expect unless there is a radical overhaul of the system we have to recruit players. Ayre should be moved on first.
If I was him I would think about other young Dutch players that went to big clubs at young age and hardly ever played in roysten Ibrahim affey etc.
But of course at United he will problem get more wages, play champ league and have a Dutch manager. But competition from a larger number of international players.
I reckon he will go united. He looks a very good player
Didn't that Norwegian kid who signed for madrid visit just about every big club in Europe before signing for them?
This is a balls story from the Mirror. Only designed to whip fans into a frenzy when we 'lose out' on the signing to Man Utd.
All signs point to Man Utd who have the clout to get a deal done early.
Oodengard? Yeah he went all over even to crawley town
Glad we didn't get that Odegaard.
The spotlight on him is ridiculous, he will find it impossible to reach expectations of him.
The new Freddie Adu.
Ah freddie adu...the new maradona. I remember him.

No we haven't changed anything thereby we will have to wait until the clubs that can pay way more money in wages than us conclude their business before we can move forward with ours.
How good is he though? I ask because I don't watch Dutch football. I can't remember him really standing out or doing anything special at the World Cup either. Would he be a regular starter for Liverpool or Utd if either signed him?
cant see us getting him, and i'm not sure he is right for us at the moment, with gerrard, toure, johnson leaving we will need some experience, not another young attacker to try and shoe horn in to the side
Both Liverpool and Utd have a good recent history with the Dutch
Although maybe Babel might count against liverpool
The only recent history in a positive sense we have with Dutch players was Kuyt.
Zenden
Babel
Assaidi
Were all flops.
