We should sign that Everton winger

Or we could buy a younger, less injury prone winger who knows where the net is.

Don't get me wrong, I used to be a huge fan of Lennon but he never really progressed. We need better if we want to start challenging.

Lennon suffered from injuries when he is injury free like he has been for Everton he is a handfull.

I would have him back

If want to challenge for the top 4 we need to get rid of players like Lennon, Everton is his level.

Miralles would be more suited to us so I hope we do a swap deal for him, knowing Levy we will get Miralles and 2 million for Lennon.

That's the trouble though, just as he starts looking good he gets another injury which sets him back again.

Great work rate, has the ability to scare the opposition with his pace but doesn't use it like he used to, reasonable crossing, dreadful shooting ability.

Lennon has had his day with Spurs, he never takes on his full back any more, his crossing is woeful, he very rarely assists a goal and has not really improved his game with us for 5 years at least, and all this with the shooting ability of a 12 year old.

It`s time we upgraded, and Lamela has already been an improvement on Lennon this season, with a few goals and assists.

Lamela will improve, Lennon will not.

How will Miralles be better for us, he comes off the bench for Everton most time, if he is not good enough to start for them he is not good enough for us

Doos, I'm not convinced by Mirallas either. He's good but inconsistent...and looks like his temperament is a bit suspect after his penalty episode earlier in the season.

Must admit I've liked watching Konoplyanka on the few occasions I've seen him. He just looks like one of those players who change matches on his own.

We could bring him back and I bet it will be as if he hadn't gone anywhere and he'd still remain ineffective. If anything his decent spell for Everton has annoyed me. Why are players like him and Townsend turning it on when they outside of Spurs?

Miralles was incredible when he first came to Everton, it's just this season he's been inconsistent which I put down to wanting out, perhaps doesn't suit or get on with Martinez.

Explain for me on 'level' because taking our disastrous season out of the equation I would have said Spurs and Everton are on the same level?? I would like us to sign Lennon but not in place of Mirallas (who is our best player) he has to stay

That's the trouble Doos...do we really need another moody Belgian who only plays well when he feels like it?

The past 6 years or so of league finishes would tell a different story, don't get me wrong we are not miles better than Everton, but we are a little bit

At your level? Pretty much the same level as us. Sometimes players play better at a particular club. From what I see from a few of your fans lennon is rated and I must admit I underatted him. Pienar is a good example played good for us not very good for you.

We're aiming for CL, Everton aim for EL, they don't have the funds.

We make a hell of a lot more money than Everton do, even more so when we have the new stadium.
We get twice the amount of turnover and twice the amount of money made on match days, on a different level

We aim for champions league, granted we don't get there. I would say spurs & everton are pretty much on the same level. Granted I would say you are slightly ahead of us but not a level above

Lennon clearly needed a different environment and approach to bring him back some decent form.

Now do we bring him back and see if he can keep it up for us or do we sell while his value is slightly higher?

Half our team is absolute trash and we're still 14 points ahead of you, you're just midtable, we're top 6.

We have not finished below 6th for years either

Granted we have had a terrible season. But I am sure we also finish above you regularly as well.

The past 6 years or so of league finishes **

we've been in the top 7 for most of those 6 seasons, I dont see your point? id say we were both the next best after the top 4 and Liverpool but thats just my opinion

I don't care what anyone says, Everton are a huge club that have alot in common with us. Proper club. To say we are in another level is cringeworthy.

going back to Lennon I wouldnt even entertain a swap with Mirallas who should be valued now at 15-20m IMO, Mirallas can finish moves off on a regular basis with class

well said...lets hope we can both get into the top 4 one day

On the pitch, currently and over the last few seasons, Everton and Spurs are fairly evenly matched with Spurs just ahead overall.

Off the pitch, Spurs are on a completely different level, they have the 13th highest revenue of any club in Europe, Everton struggle to make the top 20.

Everton`s revenue is only around two thirds that of Spurs.
