What criticism have his Leicester players had?

Was the question-^^

referring to something Pearson said before, apparently

Why does pundit care so much though? Is it because his own team have nothing to play for?

2nd article on here on Pearson from a Wolves fan

It's not an obscure article Blackstarr.

It's a leading article on the BBC website, who have transcripted the whole interview. It's all over social media.

Plenty of managers have done a lot worse than this. Its a bit of an odd one but Wenger was very very rude to a BBC journalist who asked a tactical question earlier in the season.

To be fair to NP he has listened to his players getting slated for ages and for a journalist to deny the press have at time given the players a rough ride, they've been called not good enough plenty of times, must have annoyed him.

Mmm! To be honest when I heard Nigel's interviews after the match, I jokingly said to the wife that he sounded like he'd had a couple of pints of happy water.
He just didn't sound as composed and clear as normal. Unfortunately having just seen his latest comedy sketch, it may have been more than a couple.

Only our Nige could get a couple of long necked birds into a post match interview. Classic!

Looking forward to seeing what type of wildlife makes an appearance after Newcastle.

Scrap Autumnwatch. We want Nigelwatch!

I think he's absolutely brilliant. I know I've been away too long but political correctness has gone over the top in England. Pearson is the Enoch Powell of football. You may not like it, but he has the balls to speak his mind.

No he wasn't. A big deal was made of it because of the fact that it was a woman who conducted the interview.

It was definitely rude from Pearson no doubt about it. I just hope he keeps us up.

Pearson is a journalists nightmare and gold dust all in one.

He's a red top's dream!

Thought this was a bit harsh on the guy as I didn't think his question was that bad but Pearson clearly took issue with it.

I'm sure this happened all the time but stuff like this would never have gone anywhere before YouTube.

He's very protective of his players and they love him for it. I understand this even if it doesn't help his image.

Problem is, image is only 10% of his job. Results are all that matter.

On to Newcastle.

I've just seen the transcript on the BBC website and I have to say, that's just cheered me up no end.

I don't think it changes much, frankly. Some people think that sort of bullying behaviour cheapens the club, others are happy to see the man taking on a sneak and a hypocrite, fighting for and standing up for his players. His main problem is the possibility of red-top journalists deliberately trying to draw this kind of reaction for the sake of a story.

Heard the exchange on Talk Sport this morning and it doesn't sound good. Danny Kelly and Dominic Cork both agreed that it came across as bullying against a young journalist who had asked a pretty innocuous question. Pearson was like a dog with a bone. He didn't just make one sarcastic comment and move on, he tried to belittle the journalist and it was pretty unedifying and difficult listening.

Just when he has galvanised the team and got the media talking about our football instead of his gaffes he goes and does this again. Very disappointing.

I just got home this morning and heard the BBC talking about ostriches and stupid questions and I just knew it had to be about NP. Rewound it to listen and, to be honest, I thought he sounded like he'd had a fair few. It was funny but it is a shame - just as he's had some really positive interviews in the nationals etc and there is praise for our football, he does it again!

Pearson is taking the pressure off his players and distracting all the attention away from the team and onto himself - either accidentally or by design.

A certain MON did exactly the same thing after the Sheffield United match. In the dressing room he told the players 'I'll take all the flak now but I'm taking all the credit when we get promoted' and, boy, was he true to his word!!!!

If he keeps us up, I couldn't care less about any of this.

But.

If he does keep us up will our owners? I have a feeling Pearson will be replace by a European manager in the summer.

I then think we'll get relegated unless we significantly invest.

Just my personal negative view on things.

The press and media know there is a 'story' in NP just about every week. They are NEVER going to leave him alone.
It's why last nights episode is splattered everywhere.
