lvg has a lot of work to do with this squad this summer
as has been the case for the past 4 seasons cm needs to be addressed once and for all
If LVG is still here in the summer
Dont make top 4 and LVG would be rightly kicked out.How the f+ck he's managed to mess this up is a work of genius.
he would find it hard to make a case for his future if he fecked this one up. Dont forget that this is the also the fight for 4th not 1st
Hes a million miles from getting united winning stuff again.
We've got too many shiiiite players. We're clinging onto 4th in one of weakest PL seasons in memory.
That's not by chance or down to bad luck. We're just a very average team.
The fuss made over Fellaini n Young being less useless than usual this season sums up our fans on here. We're going nowhere with those two in our team.

Yep.Our away form has been truly awful this season and I cant see that change overnight, away to Palace or concerning next season.
I can say with confidence that a title challenge next season is a long way off.
we are average ... very average...with average players (and worse) picking up ridiculous wage packets. Worst United side since the relegation days.
And if Felaini and Young are our best performing players this season we are in deep, deep trouble.
No chance of catching Chelsea next season. None whatsoever. Gap is too big to bridge in one summer. Had our summer signings of 2014 been better, we might have had a chance.
But we almost have to start again now.
No chance of catching Chelsea next season.

I think our target next season will be 4th again, never mind challenging with the big boys
Depends on who we sell and who we buy.
The summer could be huge for us both positively or negatively.

ultimately will be influenced by our next 3 games
I can actaully imagine a couple of our big names players getting sold on in the summer.
I don't see how next 3 games changes that much. We're still loaded if the unthinkable did happen. And last summer proves that European football not the be all.
Obviously top 4 brings more cash and CL footy but I'm not sure its top name players we lack anyway. ADM n Falcao were easily the stellar names out of the bunch signed last summer and look how that went.
You don't need 11 galacticos to win stuff.

off the top of my head
van persie
falcao`
hernandez
nani
seem the most likely
hopefully fellaini follows them
unless he wants out I think di maria will be here
Maybe it wouldn't change that much in how it affects who we buy Stretford.
I think more than anything, we want to be in the Champions League and the fans enjoy the competition.
I'd be devastated if Liverpool pipped us now, undoing all the hard work during our run of tough fixtures. Saying that, if we do miss out, we'd only have ourselves to blame. The players have become majorly complacent over the past two games. You can see it in how slow and casual we have been.
If Liverpool catch us with not having a striker all season, LVG should go. No question.
You don't need 11 galacticos to win stuff.

That is very true and that is in most ways how United have been successful. Our best signings have been,by and large, players who wanted to come here, were still relatively young and players who had steps to go in improving themselves. Not players who come here for primarily financial gain.
ADM didnt look exactly over-joyed when he signed for us and ,going by his instagram comments,Falcao thought he was off to R.Madrid.
Less of those type of players the better
Chica is a strange one. Feel that if he was thrown on today rather than Falcao he might have just done something.
Keep him.
And Nani cant be worse that DiMaria
Van Persie is done and Rooney is a 5hite midfield player.
(Rather Sir Bob keep the scoring record for both United and England than Rooney). We would get a good player for the wages we pay him

I can see Mata going,I really can.
If LVG wants pace and dynamism on the wings then that role for Mata is going to be hard to come by.
thing is that, in the same way the adidas deal needs united to fail to qualify for the CL twice in a row before penalties are applied, same thing is true with players...ie miss the CL once and you can sign big players by claiming it is a blip, miss it twice and it begins to look like a trend.
and then, as well as DDG leaving, you might well miss out on hummels, and depay, and others of that kind. it has been hard enough for united over the years to buy the very best players even with the CL, without it there is too much competition for the best.
there may well be little chance of united signing bale for instance, but without CL there is zero chance.

I think the reputation of lvg and the promise of qualification played a big part in overcoming the cl factor last summer. We fail to qualify next season and lvgs rep takes a hit. Then the likes of a mephis depay for example (not a galactico) choses someone else over us
I really do like LvG. I think he is a true leader and seems to have a very diplomatic approach to managing his players, something which I think goes under the radar.
However, some of his tactical decisions are baffling. Fellaini is not suited for matches in which the opposition put every man behind the ball. That requires guile and creativity which we were sorely lacking.
I thought today was made for Di Maria from the start. West Brom were playing slow centre backs at full back today and with some clever wing play, I thought we could exploit them down the sides. Instead we try to play slow tempo dull pass for the sake of it football in crowded areas. I lost count of the sideways passes from wing to wing.
People say West Brom defended well, but near enough everything was INFRONT of them.
I really want LvG to stay but I often wonder what Klopp could do to this side, merely as a thought rather than reality. I'm still very much LvG 'In'.

i'd love to see klopp manage in england, and suspect he would excite us more than LVG. also i would be fearful if he went to eg arsenal/liverpool that he would really make them click.
so in my moments of wishful thinking i do picture klopp at united.

there were plenty of fans 2 months ago who wanted lvg to stay even if united finished below 4th, but if they were to mess it up from here i can't believe lvg would have a single fan behind him.
