The immigration debate is a most amusing one. Not sure why anyone would begrudge a fellow human being the opportunity to live and work in their country.

We need to control it and keep the wrong sort out and have a system that checks when people leave the country too.

Making honest folk who come here to work the enemy is disgusting and quite frankly reprehensible. Give me these people over the fools who add no value to society from here who are here simply because daddy and mummy did not use birth control.

This election result will help me immensely in a few decisions I plan to make in the coming months

Don't get me wrong here, I don't support UKIP or anything but the fact they got more votes than the SNP and the Lib Dems combined, yet only got one seat just shows how our voting system is systematically flawed.

Everyone has an issue with the electoral system when it works against their party......

The statistics bear this out. According to a Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) report from 2011, 6.4 per cent of those claiming working aged benefits were non-UK nationals, meaning British nationals were two-and-a-half times more likely to be claiming working age benefits than non-UK nationals.

Just like when Scotland had policies foisted on it by a govt it did not vote for.

Right?

what písses me off is that the country cant cope with the people that were actually born here.

why should someone who has paid taxes over the years and national insurance struggle to get a house, or struggle to get a hospital bed because someone who has never contributed anything to the countries econimics has taken them.

i know for a fact that when planes land with foreigners on looking to stay in the country, agencies pick them up in minibuses and take them to hostels and basically intercpet them so they can use them for work because of cheap labour.

what chance do people born in this country have of getting a job if this is happening?

Ok the Scottish have no right to moan about this. They voted to stay in the UK. Everybody knew there would be either a Tory/whoever coalition or as is looking the case a majority. They had their chance to leave.

Dunk, the difficulties in buying a house doesn't come from foreigners being here.

It's because of a failing economy caused by the very antithesis of the workshy foreigner.

A lot of uneducated, rude, badly dressed and poorly spoken white british people are the vast majority the ones draining the benefit system, having kids at 16 whilst claiming their 'partner' doesn't live with them, free flats, houses and money into their accounts every week. Having massive families and filling estates, schools hospitals and prisons up with no regard for society.

Immigrants benefit the treasury by 25bn a year after benefits are taken into account!!

25 billion, roughly one quarter on the NHS budget!
