I'd take him 100%, as long as we signed another striker as well
Is imagine he will end up at Preston.
But all things considered he might be worth a gamble.

Would be worth a look, but if Preston get promoted I imagine he'll stay put.
Agree with Pock Peacock - I would also get Becchio and a good winger...But Leeds management are too thick to even think of getting these players...have no patience with MC & co...
I'm not a fan of going back to old players, but I'd take him on a years contract, got to be better than the rubbish cellino will ship in from abroad.
I think his wages could be a problem for both clubs. No idea what he's on but Bolton were probably paying a chunk of his wages while he was on loan at Preston. At a guess I'd say he was on 20-25k a week at least?
Yeah, let's get all the old players back who weren't good enough the first time to get us into the premiership. They're a bit older and slower now and the club's in such great stable position.
What a great idea ! Beckford and Becchio. Get them both - 3 year contract each.
I would like to see Beckford and Bechio again up front. It would certainly energise the fans. I always like an x-factor ingredient.
To hell with not going back to old players - I would also get Howson and Snodgrass. I know I have criticised McCormack in the past but I would take him back too. Plus we need a good keeper, thought Taylor was good.

Don't be smart now -it is worth a gamble...
Do you think Crowe and Zaliukas are free too???
It is a fact that we would be going back to failed systems. What kind of progress is that?
what the failure about beck ford, he got us promoted.
The problem is, Beckford is being discussed because we've seen the sh i te that Cellino can bring in.
I think Beckford and Becchio might have been good enough to get us back to prem in that first season back in championship, Becchio certainly played his part just a shame Beckford had already gone to the prem
Beckford has been a topic of discussion for ages and certainly before MC arrived. But hey, don't let the truth get in front of a good slight at the object of your desire.
But he is available now and Cellino is responsible for buying whoever MFI boy spots from his DVD collection.
We need positive forward thinking and positive forward actions that are designed to get us out of this parp league. How would signing the two B's be that. How long would it last ?- About as long a managers tenure at Elland road that's how long.
We're supposed to be marching on together, not shuffling back.
Tony I agree with that, but look at what Cellino has brought in to date...a load of dross.
We should be doing better than Beckford, but are we going to? If not then I think he'd be worth signing for a season. He knows the club, what's expected and he can score goals.
This would be a bad idea, he has been on the bench most of the time for a League 1 side ffs. Not good enough for us now.
Yeah, let's get all the old players back who weren't good enough the first time to get us into the premiership.

Those players got us into the auto promotion spots by xmas, it was the owner who didnt give them a solid defense.
And how much older are they now ffs.

I only went back 10 games but Beckford started all of the last 10 games.
What you are saying simply is not true.
Hasn't Mr Beckford scored double the goals for Preston since being on loan with a manager he likes than he did at Bolton in roughly double the games...?
He's only 31, when he was at Bolton I wouldn't have touched him, but now I think he's got his mojo back and could probably do a job for us. Pair him with Antenucci.
They'd probably do well together.
And I say that as someone who doesn't like the idea of players returning once they've gone.
