I am about 3/4 through on Survivor but haven't played in a while. It is quite tricky

How do you do it without listening mode?

Slowly and scaredly

To be fair I didnt used to use listening mode anyway so not something I miss, trial and error and trying to work out the patterns the Zombies tend to follow (until they see you at least)

I'm tending to sneak past them as much as I can, but it's easier said than done, I'm stuck with a bloater now I may end up having to punch him

Planning is vital as well. I'm about to enter the university so obvs in that bit in the dark with the bloaters I'm gonna use a molotov, also for the bit before the hospital in the tunnel where there's a big horde of em.

Yes I have a molotov, a bomb, 2 shotgun bullets and 2 pistol bullets, I think it's going to take all of them,

Oh and a bottle

Pick up everything, I think Bill and Ellie will chuck you things at that point? Also the storeroom the bloater comes out of has stuff in it

I was banking on the stuff in the storeroom, there's nothing there in fact theres nothing anywhere in the whole room

Get better at the game

I thought I had it sussed, played through it about 6 times and knew what to expect and where to find stuff,

Grounded takes most that away, I dont even have a health bar

The first bloater is the boss fight In the Sports hall right ?? I just kept running around in circles killing the adds and picking up the Ammo they drop to kill the Bloater ,Took me a couple of tries on Grounded!!

A couple of times, I have already died about ten time

I was joking, just being an ars3
I'm half way through grounded.
Died about 300 times

Just to add there's no "Grounded Mode" Trophy for Ellie's DLC so just play it on Survivor mode

I found that out the hard way

I like the challenge of grounded, if I kill the big mother f, I'll be well chuffed

Might take a while though

lol Greg me too until the very last part where I got stuck so watched a Youtube vid which mentioned about there being no "Grounded Mode" trophy for the DLC ,so swiftly dropped it down to "Survivor" & finished it a lot easier

The bit where they are trying to break through the door?
I died so many times there. Spent a good 6 or 7 hours on that section alone! I was determined, you can imagine my frustration when I found out I only got a trophy for survivor mode!!!

lol yea that's the Section fella ,it was the same for me too ,only had a couple of arrows to start off with ,always managed to do the first part fairly easy but the 2nd part when the re-enforcements came was way tougher grr!!.

My grounded playthrough was by far my favourite experience of TLOU.

I've attempted it twice, got stuck on the same part both times, the long corridor with enemies in the hospital. It's ridiculous, on my second playthrough I saved so much ammo and health for that part and I just can't do it!

Cheers Toxteth, I wish I had two molotov and as many shotgun cartridges, this is gonna be tough.

I watched a video of a girl playing TLOU and in her panic she actually punched a bloater

Yea I really enjoyed finishing both Grounded & Grounded plus play-throughs for me the hardest section by far was the bit where you split up from Ellie & have to find a way back with the boy through a section of Clickers & those crazy infected that try & hide before attacking ,all I can say is I must of died like Eleventybillion times just trying to get past them

but it turned out I actually only died 160 times on my grounded playthrough
