Ashley Cole only wanted an extra 5K

The love in from the media is disgusting. Compare it to Arsenal, who always get questioned for their ambition, and players were leaving, no one gave a damn.

So, do you have a theory as to why the Press don't like Arsenal?

How much did Liverpool give Henderson? Sterling should go to a club that will develop his talents, where he will be surrounded bt talent, and a humble coach...Southampton. He is too young and raw to go to City or United; he'd end up like Scott Sinclair.

Why don’t you suggest that to him?

Southanpton are probably exactly the kind of club he’s looking for to match his ambition, he’ll probably thank you for that suggestion.

Too many ex-Liverpool in the media, hence Gerrard getting abnormal amount of attention compared to Fergie, who got half of it for example.

But he's a very good player and u wont get another like him.

Yes I understand that you will think that. People have been saying for forty years though so apologies if I'm not upset enough.

We'll either keep a good player for a year or make huge amounts of profit.

You have a sliding scale of course.

You think that people like Jamie Redknapp and Jamie Carragher dictate the editorial policy? Jeez, they're doing well for themselves, aren't they?
Is this in the print media as well, or just on the TV?

Do all of the ex-Liverpool pundits hate Arsenal, then?
I don't recall any of them saying it, tbh, but you may be right.

The offer I'm hoping your club makes to reflect the fact that he's a "very good player".

What goes round comes round. Liverpool were happy to raid Southampton, tear it apart and leave it completely shapeless, now their star player wants to go to a bigger club they don't like it. Numpties.

So reading through this it seems:

1) Liverpool's ex-player influence both the written and visual press.
2) Arsenal's (Wright, Merson, Keown, Smith, Dixon) do not.
3) Man Utd's (both Neville bros, Scholes, Keane) definitely don't and they didn't make enough effort to celebrate Fergie retiring.
4) There is an anti-Arsenal bias for reasons yet to be revealed.

Seriously?! An anti-Arsenal bias and a conspiracy to support Liverpool over Arsenal?

With all this conspiracy chat I'm beginning to think Chelsea and Arsenal fans are not so very different after all.

Maybe he Liverpool gangsters will do the same as they did with Gerrard and say if he eaves they'll break his legs and hurt his family. Might stay then after which they'll rob him while hes playing.

How would we ever find out though? The Liverpool bias in the media will hush it all up!

If a Liverpool player gets threatened and nobodies there to report does it make a sound?

Yes, maybe, but that fairy-story's already been done: surely with our influence on the Press we could come up with something different?

Maybe we could say he's been abducted by aliens, and hypnotised into staying at Liverpool, or something like that?

We wouldn't need any evidence, loads of people would believe it anyway.: they believed the Evening Standard withour any evidence, so why not?

Mind you Sterling is from a single parent immigrant family from North London, may have a few 'friends' of his own. He should come home and join us to start a war between London and Liverpool gangsters.

Well some of us, at least, want him to fvck off, so if he goes to London and forms his own gang....that, for us, is job done, he needn't give alien abductions or gangsters a second thought.

Why do u want him to f off?

Because I think that in his head, he's already gone.

Some disagree, but every time I've seen him play since this contract issue blew up, I haven't had the impression his heart's been in it.

The difference with Suarez is that once he's on the pitch, he can't help himself giving every ounce of energy he has, it's the way he's made. Sterling hasn't struck me as being made of the same stuff, so I think making him stay would not have the same result as keeping Suarez for another year did.

...and that's apart from what it says about his general attitude towards the game. He's obviously a very good prospect, but unlike Suarez, he's not so good that it's worth the wrangle over his contract.

If we get decent money for him, I'm happy for somebody else to work on getting his head back on and developing him, because I don't trust him to make the effort for us.

I didn't realise Rodney Marsh and Alan Brazil also played for Liverpool

The reaction of ex-Liverpool players is hilarious but expected. Someone needs to group together every middle-aged and old Liverpool fan and tell them, yes, you were once great, you're not anymore. Accept it.
