You have your own opinions maybe you shud keep it to yourself becos its clear you dont have a clue about Test Cricket especially against a team like England in England's backyard the most Difficult place in the world to play Test Cricket (for an overseas team).
----------------------------------------------------------------------
So now Mr Licha, enlighten us any further knowledge on test cricket
On a serious note, please don't think that other posters have no idea about test cricket if they differ with your opinion. This is Test cricket at its best with unbelievable turns. As I said earlier this New-Zealand is lot stronger than the previous ones toured yet you kept on harping that it is impossible to defeat England in England. You can go back and see how SA defeated them in their own backyard and even Lankans played lot better. All in all, I stand by that this England team is not as strong as you claim to be. Of-course this team will benefit big time with KP but with Cookie n Uncle Strauss that ain't happening pal.. My two cents, if any other posters have a different opinion, don't be arrogant in saying that they have no clue about test cricket and by now u know very well how unpredictable this game is. You also know that New-Zealand lost almost one whole day and they scored almost 5 per over in this match. What a fight back by them and my salute from the core of my heart. Wish my Indian team had that heart or fighting spirit but that idiot Dhoni's selection n tactics ruined our test team. Looking forward for Ashes and as a neutral fan, I support both teams and want to see amazing cricket.
Take care amego Grande and muchos gracias for ur input !
Fair play Fact Taker.
I respect your opinion.
I respect everybody's opinion.
Im not an England fan & i use to have same brash behaviour as you but i have learned over the last 15 years of watching Test Cricket in England, You cannot ever write off England.
What Saffas did to England 2012 was majestic. That was an incredibly special team led by one of the greatest cricket captains cricket has ever seen - Graeme Smith.
What Sri Lankans did last year was a fluke (My Opinion)
That series could have easily finished 1-1 or 0-0.
Nonetheless it was a great Test drama & really pleased for Sri Lanka's historic achievement.
Apart from that humiliations vs Saffas in 2012
England have NOT lost more than 1 test match in a test series at home since 2003 also against Saffas.
My advice (to you & others) is don't go knocking England off especially when they look down & out.
Just goes to show how difficult it is to win a test match against England in England backyard never mind a test series.
It may seem cool (for you & others) to mock England's misfortunes however be warned, the same could happen to your team over & over. (whichever team you support)
I dont support England but i would never mock them or make a joke out of them when things are not going well.
I much rather remain silent than mock England. & give credit to the opposition who deserve their win./success
At the end of the day - we all have our opinions & choose to express them in our own ways.
Im a humble guy - Peace be with you..
Now that the test series is over.
Looking forward to ODI's.
Chance to see a new young & refreshed England team in the ODI set-up.
Kiwis have been playing well above expectations in the past couple of years under Baz. So, no shame losing one test match to NZ.
England is always a tough team to beat at home. India managed to win just one test match while losing 7 matches on their last two tours to England.
What Sri Lankans did last year was a fluke (My Opinion)

Its the truth (in my opinion)
SL could have lost the (1st) match and did lose it but for the review (lol) & nearly didn't win (the 2nd match) despite having 20+ overs to bowl to get the last wicket (which they did with 1 ball to spare).
However i was very pleased for their success.
Team is still improving. Angelo Mathews is a very special player. Need more players to step up especially with the end of Sangakkara & M Jayawardene. (coming soon if they havent already retired in Tests)
What was really pleasing about SL tour of England last year was that they beat England in a Test Series & ODI Series & a T20 match against England in England's backyard - The 1st team to do so in History. (against England in England's backyard)
G'licha,
With all due respect just because Lanka won it with a ball to spare does not mean they fluked it. It was a well deserved draw.
Ps, generally speaking you are spot on about England at home. However, you were way way way off the mark with your NZ predications at headingley and now saying Lanka fluked their heasingley victory.
Let's get one thing straight. Eng have a great home record, but as a regular visitors to headingley over the years, take it from me England look lost here. They have a lost % of 55% at headingley. It's one of the worst in the world for home teams. So your comments on NZ (day 3) and Lanka are nonsense to say the least.
I think England will win the ashes. because its a 5 match series.. the wickets will be drier and flatter as the summer goes on..
It will come down to Englands batting and Australias bowling..
The likes of moeen stokes buttler need to get 50s when they bat..
that will take 250 upto 400 and 400 is a must.
You get bowled out for 230 every time you deserve to lose.
ODI series starts today
Woooo I can't wait
we are a p1s5 poor ODI side
Very good intent so far from these two
Soon as we get a decent partnership going they just gift their wickets away, pathetic.
Can't have it both ways. Criticised for plodding around at 4 RpO. Criticised for having a go
This is how australia and New Zealand play one day cricket. You are bound to lose wickets if your scoring at this kind of rate
This is a good T20 score 120 in 16 overs
