Definitely Chelsea - Great achievement.

Dark good video and all but the fact their net spend is so low has nothing to do with Mourinho. Their negotiating team is obviously genius, selling Luis for 50 and buying costa and cesc for 30 each puts their net spend at plus ten but those two players should have been more and sideshow is worth 15 max. That is nothing to do with Jose. All he did was identity the players he wanted.
Being slightly better than a few other very crap teams or being the best?
Leicester have done well to survive, but being on a par with Sunderland is hardly a managerial masterclass.
Is argue there squad is behind sunderlands by some distance and it was their firsts season in the league.
Winning the title, of course.
I don't think every manager in the league would hve managed to win the title with this Chelsea side, even though the competition has been underwhelming.

It is not as if Leicester are the paupers of the league though. They spent a lot to survive, £20m on a couple of strikers for instance.
Busby come on man, the way everybody had performed LVG or wenger would have won the league too. Maybe not as comfortably but they'd have won it.
People who support sides who win titles are a bit snobby about this
In terms of how happy a supporter is staying up with a late goal on the last day v winning a title, I'd say the elation and happiness has to be equal.
It's all relative, pulling off a miracle is pulling off a miracle either way.
Mourinho's greatest achievement is revitalizing JT's confidence, his standard setting on-field Warrior .
Masterstroke for the Manager of the Year.
Winning the title. Couldn't have finished higher. Could have ballsed it up though and finished lower. Many would have I suspect. For me Mourinho was rightly named manager of the year. Won 2 of the 3 domestic trophies. Pellegrini was deserving of the MOTY last year for achieving the same. Was wrong that he wasn't awarded it.

But is Leicesters performance relative to those in competition with them that impressive, as to make Pearson MOTY?
Koeman finishing top 7 (maybe higher), when predicted to be bottom half, and possibly Monk taking Swansea to 8th (poss 7th) would be the only two managers who have exceeded pre-season expectations really. Both Southampton and Swansea were talked about in terms of the relegation battle.
Not taking anything away from Leicesters survival from where they were at Christmas, they have done well. But most would have had them fighting for safety at the start of the season, and that is all they did really.
Most people thought City should have won the title by a mile. So they underperformed.
I wouldn't have given it to Pellegrini for meeting minimum expectations.
I think Jose deserved it. When his side faltered and key striker got injured, he adapted his tactics and rode it out to take the title comfortably.
He was excellent.
Chelsea. The disdainful attitude towards Chelsea's success this season is envy, pure and simple.
Koeman and Soton for example had a much better season than Leicester.
Mou has had to produce the goods all year long. Pearson managed a late rally with backs against the wall. Good achievement but much less impressive than winning the league for me.
Now if Leicester had finished top 10, then we could talk.
Koeman slipped at the business end of the season
Still did great but he would have had to finish top4 to win it IMO, or narrowly miss out on the last day.
winning the championship is the hardest thing to do in football. only one manager can do that. all the others avoid relegation as much as leicester did
"winning the championship is the hardest thing to do in football."
not sure I agree. it depends a lot on the competition and what sort of side you have.
Since we got Mou back we went from CL qualification battlers to narrowly missing out on the title to comfortably winning the title. If he makes it look easy, well then all the more reason to give the man an award.

Southampton finish top 4? MOTY wouldn't be enough, Koeman would have to be crowned king of the world for that.
Southampton could potentially finish 5th, Leicester 17th. Both were tipped to be in the relegation fight at the start of the season. Yet Pearsons achievements are greater than Koemans, because Southampton didn't finish above Manchester United?
Winning a european cup (2) with a team like aberdeen that Ferguson did was one of the most impressive feats in football.
I'd put that above even the 99 season due to the millions that he had to spend with United as compared to taking that aberdeen team with 100% scottish players to europes pinnacle beating real and bayern in the way.
winning THE European Cup with a team like Liverpool that Rafa did was one of the most impressive feats in football.
see what I did there
The most impressive thing in football is sustained success.
Can't deny that wasn't impressive, the greatest comeback in a final I can recall
but you still had the prem millions that fergie at aberdeen certainly did not have, so I stand by his achievement at aberdeen.
