Leicester. There's an argument to be had as to why they didn't show that form earlier, although by most accounts they'd played alright all season but just didn't get the luck or put the chances away when they presented themselves.

was just messing about baz

I actually consider Rafa taking us to another final two years later as a much bigger achievement than 2005 was.

I remember watching the 2005 final in a bar with some mates. Dumbfounded watching that come back, everyone pretty much stopped talking and sat in rapt silence watching that 2nd half performance.

At the end a scouser got up in tears, put his credit card behind the bar and told everyone (100+ people) all drinks were in him.

Was a cracking night.

I doubt anyone will agree but I'd say Alan Pardew.

I destroyed half my liver that day

If we'd won in 2007 I'd probably be dead from killing off the other half.

Not too be pernickety; but your liver - being the only organ to regenerate- at least the first half would have been restored, leaving you with a full liver in 2007.

Apparently since he took over at Palace, their form has been that of a top 6 club. And the 26 points he got from 19 games at Newcastle, is quite impressive at 2nd glance in comparison to that thick gobshite Carver.

Pardew has possibly kept two clubs up this season.

The liver is the only human internal organ capable of natural regeneration of lost tissue; as little as 25% of a liver can regenerate into a whole liver

Kaiser got destroyed.
Interesting though how only one part of our body can do that? What's the point..........

I think it is all about expectation as well. Leicester's achievement and Southampton's achievement to their fans will be as big as what Jose's is for the Chelsea.

I do think though that Chelsea haven't had the credit they deserve this season though. It is difficult to win this league and whoever finishes top deserves it.

MOTY same as POTY is more about the individual and I would say Monk/Koeman has got more out of their team than most so would be deserving winners. I doubt Jose cares that much though as he is, IMO, clearly a guy that puts the team in front of anything else. I know he has an ego on him but he does know when to use it and he does it well to deflect from when his team (albeit rarely) fails him.

I also think that all us fans are sometimes unwilling to give credit to our rivals. All joking aside but Liverpool did excellently to win the CL in 2005. Not just the comeback in the final but beating Juve and Chelsea as well took some doing. I also think the United side of 2007-2009 isn't given enough credit as they went over two years in the CL without losing a game and were only stopped in the final by a fine Barca side.

Koeman for me is manager of the season, good shouts for Pearson and Monk too.
Maureen did what as needed to win it , he went out and bought Costa, Fabregas and brought Courtois back. Also Zouma could be a great acquisition too.
However Southampton sold most of their crown jewels, had a manager new to the PL who hit the ground running. Even our much vaunted and praised Dutchman with the big CV didn't do that. Koeman bought well and with a little more luck with injuries at a vital time may have finished even higher.

Obviously God knew we'd need it. So obviously God wants us to drink. Excessively.

Suddenly feeling quite religious.

Just imagine how different life would be if the heart and lungs could regenerate like that.

I wonder what the special ingredient is that the liver has that other organs don't?
Wolverines healing ability?
