I always read your after match reviews and generally agree with your comments.
But have to disagree about yesterday, apart from putting them back in their place.
To be negative after a derby horsing is probably a tad churlish but I'm saying it as I saw it.
The only tactics I saw yesterday was hoping for defensive mistakes and Dundee duly obliged.
Spittal, for me, looked out of his depth at times, although credit for his part in the third goal.
To be fair to him he hasn't had a chance to stake a claim for any definite position.
Maybe Jackie is hoping that he'll emerge as the new Robertson.
Erskine looks like he's so nearly a good player. So close to doing the right thing but just a wee bit too slow.
Again though, moved around a lot.
Didn't think Muirhead did much yesterday but he's one for the future and deserves time to develop
It looks like Jackie will be here for next season so lets hope he's learned from the back end of this season and tries to find a settled team.
Not surprisingly the BNB's are frothing at the mouth about Ciftci's innocuous little nibble at McAllister but have completely ignored Stewart's stamp on Soutar.
I thought Spittal did well. He just lacks pace, which admittedly you need in a wide player. The defensive aspect of his game was good.
Muurhead I like simply because he's a frontman. He leads the line and put himself about yesterday. That frees up Ciftci to play his game, although he was very wasteful in possession.
It wasn't a great performance but it was disciplined and an improvement. We do need to improve our passing because it's not been good enough all season.
