Carrick every time.

I believe he is the first name down on LVG's team sheet

.................

I doubt it very much.

Can I have two passes?

One for Smalling and one for whoever we buy to partner him.

Carrick every time.
---------------------------

I like Michael but I fear it's the end of the road for him based on this from LVG :

"When you see the stats, it's clear that he's very important but that's also because we have only right-sided holding midfielder.

"That's what I am saying already in the whole of the season, that our selection is not balanced, and I want to restore that in the next transfer period. The life is not ending at 34, but for a professional football player, it's close by. That's why I have to handle again in that position."

Does that also hint that he doesn't see Blind as Carricks main successor?

He can't get enough of Daley

Blind has only really managed to play in that role when Carrick is injured.

Both being fit, Carrick would start in the holding role every time for LVG.

It's sad that we have become a vulnerable team as opposed to a team whose forwards could carry the side.

Not sure our forwards ever had to carry Rio and Vid.

You know what I meant.

If Vidio were injured our forwards could still win the game.

I actually have no idea what you mean.

You clearly have very little clue on United and LVG if you think Blind is the first name on the team sheet.

Yes you do - stop being a cant.

Play the game or fack off.

I am playing the game. It is called 'indulge the idiot'.

Of our current squad, Carrick is the one we need to be injury free,

Blind is left-footed, vG seems to have the obsession with having one of each foot.

I know it won't happen but if I could do a deal now where we do not sign or sell players over summer in exchange for full fitness for our players next season I would take the latter every time.

What a luxury having a fully fit squad would be!

Fully fit every week would mean very few changes and an unhappy half a squad.

Would bode well for the title push though, as Chelsea found out.

We'd need to rotate for CL and the other cups but it was a very far-fetched scenario in truth!

My real point was though that we need consitency of selection and everyone knowing what they are doing in order to succeed next season and that for me is more important than any signing we will make.

Having said that three or four intelligent signings would be greatfully accepted as well!

Very true.

And it is made even harder for us because LVG has so many expansive ideas.
Chelsea get away with injuries because they have such a functional way of playing that anyone can come in and do a job for them.

Blind? Really? A squad player at best. Not a good passer of the ball, little pace, little skill. Not even a great tackler. To me he's a downgrade on Daren Fletcher. He just has better fitness and youth on his side to improve.

Then you are an absolute idiot.

Blind was a great addition to our squad by LVG.

He's versatile enough to competently cover a few positions, so in that respect can be classed as a 'squad player' like O'Shea and P.Neville etc in the past. However he's got a lot more quality about him and our team isn't weakened when he comes into a position.

Like I said, a good addition and I can see him being a solid part of our team for years to come, most likely improving as a player too. I also cant imagine him kicking up a fuss if he does get moved about to accommodate others too.
