Sherwood delivered way more than was asked.

The cup final was between a team Spurs hate and a manager they sacked. I guess it was a bitter pill for many?
A blind man can see there's a huge job to do at Villa and i really hope Sherwood can at least 'steady the ship' to some degree next season.
I think he will

It was a very entertaining game on Saturday, watching Villa get battered and seeing Sherwood's face after that mauling got my evening off to a good start

Serves you right for running on the pitch celebrating like you'd won the cup after beating the team you 'supposedly' don't care about

Didn't West Brom finish above Villa again?

"First time for years but I am actually looking forward to no football"

Surely you've had the whole season for that, haven't you?

Defenders Aly Cissokho, 27, Philippe Senderos, 30, and Matt Lowton, 25, will be among the players to be sold by Aston Villa during the summer.

Good news tho

1. Can accept the stick from Blouse......but from the baggies

2. We are all back on a level playing field now the season has ended
--------------------------------------------------------------------
1. You can accept it off Birmingham because they're your brothers, and in BlueinThailand you've got a numpty little brother you can push around. But Albion fans (and Spurs fans) know the truth about the inept Sherwood. He's going to get found out this summer and next season.

2. No, we're not all back on a level playing field now. Of all teams, Villa's squad is by far the weakest and by far needs the most work doing on it.

Good luck attracting decent players to a club that finished 17th in the league and didn't even have a shot on target in the FA Cup final.

Aries makes a good couple of good points.

We were pretty shocking this year but still managed a huge GAP to Villa.

I find it incredible that Dim gets some kind of 'slap on the back' for almost getting Villa relegated.
Had just one result gone the other way then Villa would be a Champo club today...

We'd have beaten Burnley if we'd needed to. Can't really blame the lads for taking a rest when the pressure's off.

We're a poor team?? Beat Baggies twice in a week and they couldn't do anything about it. Took Sunderland apart. Beat Spurs at WHL. This team should be top half. Just. Let's not get carried away. But a fresh start next season after Sherwood's done his pre-season stuff should see us moving up the table . Looking forwards to it

I think the Vilers have a lot to look forward to next season, what with Tim's first complete season, knowing soon enough if Benteke will go or not [though Jan'16 could be the time too], they should have some new signings, even if one is Adebayor, and, as has been said by AG, a level playing field.
We've got a similar outlook with Rowett looking at his first complete season at the helm and the outside possibility of pushing for a play-off place [difficult, but not impossible target] and we are looking forward to using money we get from D. Gray's sale or using him to full advantage come next season.
The Wolves will be looking to push for automatic promo, so fair play to them.
As for Boggies...well...fair play to them for finishing the highest out of the local teams, but at what price? Do they ever think that T.Pulis will ever be anything more that he has already shown these last few years? Do they think that they will be on the 'up and up' with him in charge? As deluded as most Vilers are, the Bogs will be worse if they think anything other than using him as a stepping stone until such time as a more dynamic manager comes along [usually after being chewed up and spat out by one of the more 'trendy'/'higher' clubs.
Out of all of the above clubs' fans I know which one I would not like to be following next season...

KillPage, I can't speak for other Baggies fans, but trust me, I am very happy with Tony Pulis. I wrote an article here on JA606 in August last year advocating sacking Alan Irvine and appointing Pulis the day Pulis left Crystal Palace. A couple of things I look for in people are honesty and integrity, and you may not be aware of it, but Pulis has got them in spades, but he also knows how to get a team to buckle down and win points. A few changes in playing personnel over the close season and Albion will hopefully play better football the whole season next season instead of having to scrap for points for survival thanks to the useless previous manager.

Feckin hell Killpage!

Wolves = In the Champo and skint and about to lose their best players.
Blues = In the Champo and in Turmoil, skint, and having to sell to survive.
Villa = Scraped survival by the skin of their teeth, about to sell their 'best' player, Chairman desperate to offload the club, useless unproven rookie manager and a losing mentality (not my words)
Baggies = Good finish to the season, profitable stable well run club with a proven premier league manager.

Out of all of the above clubs' fans I know which one I would like to be following next season...
