I can understand that. There are times when I think that too And yeah physically she's nothing amazing.

She just has something about her. She was also bright and funny.

And although I've never been into her music as such, it's undeniable that she was an astonishingly good singer.
I have come to like some of her music too, particularly the more soulful stuff.

In terms of her singing, I don't think anyone would regret taking 6 minutes to listen to/watch this.

Just blows my mind, and imo is the greatest vocal performance ever.

For information the reason she's sweating like a pig, is that immediately before this clip started, she'd been doing dance routines for 10 minutes in that suit. And she sat straight down and did this. Just incredible.

it's arguably a bit shouty. the bit at 3.20 though's just unbelievable. it also hypnotises me

for those who don't know, her famous national anthem at the superbowl was off tape (they told her they would only use the tape version in an emergency, and when she stepped up to sing she thought they were broadcasting her live vocal).

anyway. we all come and go, and one day nobody will remember anyone we've ever heard of.
but as humans go, she wasn't bad, and she didn't do too bad (subsequent events notwithstanding).
