Anyone seen The Last Man on Earth tv show? Feckin hilarious. A bit like Basil Fawlty in the end of the world.

I'm watching Banshee season 4 at the moment. Seems very dark so far and they seem to have ramped up the torture/gruesome side of things a bit much.

Only three episodes in but hopefully it picks up a bit and ends on a high.

Watched Spectre again on the plane yesterday. ...still good
Deadpool however....I lasted ten minutes

Stop trying to be a hippie 4za. Nowt wrong with superhero movies. Most are much more watchable than a lot of other sheet churned out by Hollywood these days - however not saying they are all amazing .

Also superhero movies generally never enter scifi or fantasy

How? Sci Fi requires fiction that is based usually in the future around scientific evolution. Fantasy is a different world entirely

Most Super Hero movies are based in real world, or alternative realities. Very few are either other worlds (fantasy) or in futuristic space, or in films talking about the progression of science like in blade runner or 1984/Logans run.

Yup in an era when Hollywood is churning out so much trash at least with superhero movies you get a fairly decent standard of movie.

I don't know where all the really good scriptwriters have gone in Hollywood because really good movies with excellent scripts don't seem to be getting made now.

Maybe good scriptwriters are just being ignored in favour of yes men who will churn out the same old rubbish that movie execs believe will make the most money.

The artistry element of the movie industry has been sucked away. Just look at The Force Awakens a totally rehashed version of A New Hope with almost no originality or creative elements.

I got tired of SH movies quite a while ago. I find them a bit generic and lacking any originality. Deadpool was good pretty though.
