I saw Magnificent Seven on Friday night, obviously the story is well known already so nothing new there (love the original by the way). They didn't add anything new to the plot like a love interest or side story, so it was just a case of rounding up a team and heading into town for a whole load of shoot ups.

Enjoyed it if I'm honest, decent action lots of good old fashioned western style killings, some humour (sometimes a bit forced) from Chris Pratts character who is once again the same as every other role he's played.

Was almost 2.5 hours and felt it could have been squeezed into 2 to be honest, but a good movie for a bit of easy entertainment.

Watched the magnificent 7 too. Enjoyed it

Anyone see the new Louis Theroux programme about Jimmy Saville? Very interesting and creepy as well.

Also watched the second episode of the new Lethal Weapon tv show. It's kind of trashy with some daft action sequences but entertaining nonetheless.

Westworld tonight

A guy at work downloaded it and watched it last night, said it was a very good pilot show and will be a big hit.

My Mrs wants to go and see The Girl on the Train as she's read the book, but already seems a bit miffed by the trailer, as she expected it to be set in London and pictured the house as a suburban terraced street, but appears to have been given the Hollywood makeover.

I've never been a fan of Westerns. Probably one of the reason why I never watch Back to Future 3. The trailers on sky don't seem to be selling it either for me.

You a fan of robots by any chance if not westerns?

Worth giving it a go i'm sure with the cast on show, Hopkins in particular.

I'm thinking it's going to go way beyond just being a western......

Just hope they have a plan for where the show is going to end up in a few seasons time, and it doesn't get the 'Lost' treatment, or end up being a rinse and repeat dead end series like Walking Dead.

Westworld will be awesome. HBO have said it will take over from Game of Thrones so they clearly have a lot of confidence in it.

i'll be recording Westworld....it won't be er indoor's cup of tea I doubt...
